Default VISTA is driving me nuts! Help, please.

Whenever I do anything with a header and a footer (letterhead in this case), it gives me a second page. I have a 1 page letter and it is insisting on making it 2! Any suggestions short of going to Washington state and throttling Bill Gates?

Sorry. You can read minds! It's the "mindless" among us that give you problems.

Word 2007.

Turn on the option to show non-printing characters (the little icon that is like a capital P). I think you'll find that Word has inserted a Page Break at the bottom of the page. Highlight from before to after the Page Break (it looks like a double line) and then delete. At least, that has been the cause for me.

I did that and it removed the header and footer.

Then I think you must have highlighted the header/footer. The Page Break is a different thing.
