so word on the street has it that Ryan Howard might be returning to the game tonight. i'm hoping his sinusitis didn't spread through the team...that could be why they've been sucking recently. if my boy is back, you rays best watch your back (of course, there's a good possibility he'll be back and do nothing haha).
Thanks Amyleigh (I'll take the congrats for the Rockies!). They were just on fire last night. They've been on a great roll now, but I hate to talk about it and have it change.
Yeah my guys have a ridiculous amount of injuries right now. 3 of our 4 best hitters (our SS, 1b, CF), 2 of our 5 starting pitchers, our set up man, one of our backup SS, one of our backup OFers are all on the DL. And our backup SS that is playing has torn ligaments in his thumb, and our LFer has an injured knee. I've never seen anything like it. We also just recently got our catcher and RF off the DL.
Beltran who just went on the DL hopefully won't be out long, and our starting pitchers supposedly will be back soon, but the others are going to be out awhile longer still. Just gotta hope to find ways to win and hope that the Phils and others don't get too far ahead.
MANNY strikes out in first at at bat in the minors....I really don't care except my son's friend Brian Mazone plays for Albuquerque...a left handed pitcher.
