UFI no one should ever feel pressured to give/donate or purchase anything for any cause. It is perfectly fine to say no. Most people accept that...expect it really...and move on.
I used to have trouble telling people not just kids no for a long time but maybe I'm getting old and grouchy but I have no problam with saying it now a days.
I'm not rude or anything and there is no need to explain my actions and thus no reason to make up a lie or something.....
I just say .... "No thank you I'm not interested."
I figure I am being polite and they can take it any way they want.
