Ahhhh so frustrating. I think Beltran and Wright have been left on base about 20 times this series. We have no lineup outside of those two right now... and with Reyes apparently re-injuring himself tonight, we might be in for a long couple of weeks.

Sweetcaroline 05-21-2009 12:45 AM

Me too Pear !!!!!!!!!
RAZZ we are warming up Dice-K for a game this weekend ... it will be his first game off the DL... hmmmm... he likes to walk a lot of guys... then we hold our breath for DP balls... lol...
Should be a good series.. beautiful weather expected..

Razz44 05-21-2009 01:44 AM

Ugh I am not looking forward to the Boston series. The Red Sox should just walk Beltran and Wright every single time, and they won't have to worry about giving up any runs. Mets did ok for a few days in SF, but then the last 4 nights have been awful. Once you get past Wright in our batting order you are home free...he was literally left on base 20 times during our mini roadtrip out west. So frustrating.

At least our pitching was pretty good :?:

Yay Nation

Papi's Back

Yes, SweetCaroline, slept well with the Nation back together. (Wondering if redsoxgirl has made it to sleep yet, LOL, it might not have quieted down yet in the Fenway area.)

Two down against the amazingly high flying Jays.

Beginning to feel more confident about Jazz arriving this weekend.

Congrats, again, Gary, for your boys running a winning percentage of .690 . Just amazing.

EZMONEY 05-21-2009 08:14 AM

Feeling groovy right now!

Clydegirl 05-21-2009 07:38 PM

One more against the Cubs tonight.

Tony LaRussa has put out the most unbelievable lineup tonight. I don't mean good.

BillBlueEyes 05-21-2009 10:16 PM

The Nation Rocks

Red Sox sweep the Blue Jays

Just WOW.

I have a (non-3FC) friend who is there. Hope SweetCaroline and RedSoxGirl are there also.

NOW, lets welcome Razz for the weekend. We are SOOOOO ready.

EZMONEY 05-21-2009 10:58 PM

Nice sweep NATION...have fun with RAZZ this week-end.

D your Rockies scored a ton today!

Big Bird the paper here says Kahlil Greene has personal problems causing his anxiety issues. I hope he gets better soon...for you birds and himself.

Off today, gives me time to concentrate on my LAKERS...close in the 3rd.

PearFreak 05-21-2009 11:09 PM

Still awake here...
Yaying for the Sox!!

Clydegirl 05-21-2009 11:41 PM

:carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

We swept the Cubs. Albert knocked out the I in Big Mac Land with a homer in the first :D

So the starting line-up wasn't so bad after all :o

Gary there's been a lot of talk here about Khalil Greene's problems. He has acute anxiety. They're not playing him very much at the moment.

redsoxgirl 05-22-2009 06:48 AM

YAY Sox..great sweep of Toronto. When Papi hit that I swear my building shook. I usually watch the games on mute so I can hear the crowd and OMG was it loud.

Mets tonight should be awesome. No tickets for me but my new trick is to walk over about 30 minutes after the games starts and see if anyone is selling tickets for face value. Would love to see Dice K....we'll see.

EZMONEY 05-22-2009 08:15 AM

Playing my ANGELS this week-end...hope they lose!

Renacer 05-22-2009 10:13 AM

I'm so excited to see the new Citi Field, we are going to the game on Monday. I'm not a baseball fan but my husband is and to be honest I really enjoy going to the ballpark. It's the first time our son is going (outside of my belly hehe), I read the have a kids area. It's going to be fun!

Clydegirl 05-22-2009 12:48 PM

We have 3 games against the Royals and my daughter and I are going tomorrow.

Looks like a good day.

Slashnl 05-22-2009 02:52 PM

Clyde, you are going to have a great time! Good for you!

Yep, the Rockies put up some great points last night. Helton had a grand slam and at least one other RBI.

I had to start watching the Nuggets, so just flipped back to the Rockies every now and then. (Yay Nuggets!! What a close game.)
