DODGERS are hitting and fielding super tonight but starting pitching didn't get out of the 2nd inning! Up 4-3...I really love this team these youg guys have really come around the last 2 years...Martin ~ Kemp ~ Loney ~ Ethier ~ DeWitt and with Furcal and Hudson...and MANNY!!!....need a pitcher or 2...don't we all!

Well we now have MANNYWOOD....a section of left field seats has been declared MANNYWOOD by the DODGERS....has also said the stadium will get a new zip code in June...90090 to honor his #99....

I tell ya, I wasn't that happy when we got him, until I learned he was free for the year, but he has been amazing....the rest of the team has improved so much following him. MANNY is the best thing to happen for us since Orel Hershiser and Kirk Gibson!

By the way we won...increased lead to 3.5 games....and yes MANNY hit a home run!

I haven't been on much lately, but just catching up on the thread..

Clydegirl and EZ's teams are kicking some butt.

My guys on the other hand are quite the mess right now. Our starting pitching outside of Johan has been terrible (we might be shipping $36 mil man Oliver Perez down to the minors soon) and our best hitters aren't hitting...David Wright is at the top of the league in strikeouts and only has 10 RBI yeesh. NY fans are getting pretty testy...lots of booing :rolleyes:, its not pretty.

On the bright side nobody in the division is playing that spectacularly so the Mets aren't in too big of a hole right now.

OMG Rick Ankiel got hurt really bad tonight. He ran into the wall face first catching a ball. He was taken off the field on a stretcher. No word on his condition.
