Christmas i my favorite time of the year, and with my children starting to get older i want instill in thier heads that christmas is a time of traditon, family, joy and giving! I hate comercial christmas, but i totally stand for the meaning of the season, where im not a church person, i dont focus so much on the fact that it is jesus's birthday but i remeber that hes a the main part, i hate how comercials are geared toward buying the best presents, i mean "buy your loved ones a car for christmas" are you freaking kidding me?? I love making gingerbread houses with my mom and aunt, and baking for baskets, and waking up christmas morning to my mother cooking breakfeast and a mug of hot choclate waiting for me, even at 23, holidays are time for family, my brother told me whatever money i would spend on presents for him, i was to buy soething for my kids instead. I dont blame people for not being in the spirit, i hear that two store employees were killed this black friday. That my friends in ridiculus! I wish you all a merry Christmas, and I hope that even though the thought of the holiday infurates you, i hope you all have a good spent with the people that matter to you most!

that's just it! it's supposed to be a religious holiday, the way i understand it, and i respect others' religious beliefs. unfortunately, this time of year, i am reminded over and over that not everyone respects mine, and if christmas is a christian holiday, and not an american holiday, i don't need to be told that i'm a "scrooge" or "too PC" or whatever. we're not all christian, even if we don't "look" jewish or hindu or muslim or whatever. i don't celebrate it but in this country i can't escape it either, and the parts i'm subjected to are, by and large, unpleasant.
