I am starting Alone by Lisa Gardner

Ok, I got 50pgs into Massive and wow, is it not for me! It's about a girl's mother constantly beating her down about her weight. Yes, I know it happens, but this is not what I need to be reading while on a diet!

I know I might be stepping on some toes here, but in a recent attempt to read Twilight (again), I still do not like it! And I'm a teenage girl so it's all my nerdy friends talk about, and I'm alone when it comes to the utter displeasure I get from reading that book.

Sorry, but we all have our likes and dislikes, and Twilight is definitely in my bad pile!

I guess I'm nerdy cuz I like Twilight then.

Oh, I'm plenty nerdy - I don't think nerd is a criteria for liking Twilight ;)

I just finished Rush Home Road and it was a total tearjerker! The ending was a little too contrived, but overall I really enjoyed it.

Not sure what's next, I have a huge pile of library books. I should go see what's due back next and read that :)

I did not start Eclipse yet. I'm "saving" it. LOL

I'm reading Bitter is the New Black (or why you shouldn't carry a Prada bag to the unemployment office). By Jen Lancaster. It's pretty funny.

Hi ladies..
I'm reading Lipstick Jungle- by Candace Bushnell

Shopaholic1204 10-10-2008 11:53 AM

I'm proud of my nerdiness, lol. I have tons of Twilight shirts and Bella's bracelet, lol. And an Edward keychain. My friend is a HP nerd, and I'm a Twilight nerd, lol.

I tried reading that..but I just could not get into it. My friend said its totally different than the show. I did read Sex and the City, and it was okay I guess. Kinda boring.

I'm reading, The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

MonteCristo 10-10-2008 12:19 PM

I just picked up War & Peace from the library. Been wanting to read it for a while, and I finally got around to getting it. I plan on starting it sometime this weekend.

Just finished rereading Deception Point by Dan Brown last night and tonight start The Collectors by David Baldacci; and after that The Race by Richard North Patterson (reading lots of political stuff as the campaign turns into the homestretch)

belinda245 10-12-2008 08:39 PM

Shopaholic1204 --It took me a little to get into it.. and there are a few differences from the show.. but I like reading all sorts of stuff.. one week it will be a true crime book and the next week it could be a romantic comedy. :) I am just random like that.
What are the twilight books about?

Mom2QJandT 10-12-2008 09:13 PM

I just finished The Pact by Jodi Picoult. I'm waiting on my friend from work to bring me another of her books, I think that she's bringing me My Sister's Keeper.

mazza 10-12-2008 11:49 PM

Just started 'Dexter in the Dark' by Jeff Lindsay. It's good - I'm enjoying it more than the 2nd book in the dexter series.
