Actually, she told me to go ahead and keep using it alternated with rest periods - and to keep wiggling my toes and trying to rotate the ankle (but not push past "mild" pain). She was more concerned that over-babying it would lead to long term stiffness (maybe that age thing again?). She also did say that a really bad sprain can be expected to take 6 to 8 weeks to heal completely (at any age) - so no high impact activity and no high heels for at least that long (crud

) But, that's OK - I'm having fun trying out new "floor routines" to get my exercise in.
