Hehehe Angie got you into Phantom! My husband swore tooth and nail he'd NEVER go see it.

When it came to movie theatres, it took me FOREVER to convince him to go. He would whine and complain until we saw every other movie that HE wanted to see. So I dragged him there and told him - I had to see HIS movies now he was seeing mine.

As the movie started, he white knucked the chair and was totally engrossed in the movie. At the end he wouldn't shut up about it "lets get the sountrack.... I wanna see it again... wow what a good movie... when's the play coming to town..." LMAO!

Well needless to say, he was right in line when the Broadway came to Calgary. And bought us tickets for our birthdays

He's now a Phantom fan. Gonna have to bring him to Les Mis. and a few other Broadways heading our way.

I saw Phantom on Broadway when in high school. The effects were awesome. I didn't think you could DO that on a stage. My favorite play, however, is The Importance of Being Earnest, favorite musical is Fiddler on the Roof. And I am dying to see Wicked but it just kind of hasn't happened yet.

I've seen Les Misearable three times. It is my all time favorite. I also liked Spamalot and Jesus Christ Superstar. I'm hoping to go to Wicked this winter.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it would be about Two Face in the new Batman movie!

Rent is always a classic, are is Les Mis and Miss Saigon.

I have seen a lot of much lesser known plays which I also enjoy, like "The Great American Trailer Park Musical" (need I say more?), "The Dead Guy" (which is about a dumb guy who goes on a reality show, wins a million dollars, gets to be filmed on how he gets to spend it, then has to get killed at the end of the week by a way the audience gets to pick), "Suddenly Last Summer" (Tennessee Williams play... also a very talented guy), and "College: The Musical" are all quite great.

Sounds pretty kewl! Just waiting on the kid to decide when he'll have time to "hang out" with his dear old Mom.
