Audrey, I am so sorry for your loss. Living here in southern California we too have lost a few to the coyote's...my mom lost her cat, TROUBLE, when she was about 16 to one. I can relate.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My cat, Felicity(Lissy), died a little over a year ago. The memories live on in our hearts because they are a part of our families. It's hard, but you will get through it. May God bless you.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I lost my Puddy last year, he was 10 yrs old, and I had also gotten him when he was a kitten. He was with me everywhere I went, except for the short amount of time when I was living with my mom (only 2 months) then he was with my now DH and I until he passed last year. He was my pal. He definitely was a "Mama's Cat" cuz he stuck to me like glue. lol. I miss him but I know now he is no longer in any pain. (he died of Kidney Failure)........

I'm so sorry. I had to put my big grey cat to sleep 2 summers ago--she was 21, but had cancer. People who don't have animals never seem to understand just how close and loving they can be. *hugs*

So sorry. It's taken me a while to respond because I just didn't know what to say or how. I think because the loss of my GirlyGirl was so recent (April. She was only 4, and had a sudden heart attack, probably a heart defect). It just leaves such a big hole, doesn't it?

In May we went to the shelter and brought home Lady Chub Chub, and while I didn't expect her to exactly fill the hole that GirlyGirl left, maybe I did a little without realizing it. It still strikes me almost every day how different Chub Chub is from GirlyGirl, and while she is an absolutely wonderful individual cat, as I hoped she would be, it's also a reminder to me that GG isn't here.

Sorry, don't mean to talk about my loss (why I hesitated to respond). I just wanted to express how much I sympathize with your loss. It will get easier, but grieving just takes as long as it takes.

kaplods: of course I want you to talk about your story! It reminds me that I'm not the only one who has gone through this. Thank you so much for sharing. I know that our pets give us so much during their lives, that it is worth it that they inevitably have to go some day. I got another kitty to live with me at the beginning of law school. He's 2. His name is Freddy, and boy have I been hugging him the last few days! He's no Toby, but he's a fantasitc kitty in his own way.

*hug* Audrey, I'm sorry sorry to hear your special guy passed away. Having a pet that long is like losing your own child - my heart goes out to you.

I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. DH and I lost our baby a little over a year ago - it's devastating, I know. Hang in there!
