Unhappy Worried

I hope this doesnt come off as morbid or anything..

First let me explain something...I dont speak to most of my family. We had a bad falling out after my mom passed away and I had to seperate myself from them. I havent seen them since last Aug.

Anyways..My grandparents & I have always exchanged cards. I couldnt call them because our phone was messed up and we didnt realize what the problem was until a couple months ago. Well..I have a really hard time talking to my grandparents because they always bring up my mom, and its just too heartbreaking to talk about. But I ALWAYS continued to write them and send them cards. And they did the same. Well..my birthday was a few days ago, and I never got a card from them. Which was really really weird. So I waited and waited..and still nothing. I've been calling them ever since..and theres never an answer at their house. Now, they could be out at the Casino, because they always go there..or maybe something worse happen. They're very old, my grandma is in her late 80s, and my grandpa is 90. I'm beginning to think the worst. I'm thinking about looking up obituaries in Arizona, but so far I'm having no luck. Mostly every site I go to you have to pay for info. (I usually start off by looking for my mom's obituary, which is how I know you have to pay for it). Does anyone know where I can find the info for free??

Theres no way I will contact my family..and I'm pretty sure if something did happen, they wouldnt contact me anyhow. My number has changed, and they're all mad at me.

I'm sorry you and your family don't get along. I couldn't imagine. Not even a cousin or anything that you could talk to?? If not, maybe you should go to their place. If you guys have been exchanging cards and all, there still must be love there, and if they are around I'm sure they would be delighted to see you. If something awful happened, which I'm sure you could find out from a neighbor, you will at least know and know that you tried to contact them, and they will know that as well. Best of luck to you.

Most local papers have their obits on line for free (at least in NY) -- you could possibly call the police department in their area and have them stop in maybe to check on them. Did they belong to a church you know of that you could call? I completely understand your situation -- I have a sister I haven't talked to in years, but I keep up on my nephew through my parents.

Hugs to you Francie

Hoping you have found something out by now and all is well. I would consider the advice above though, the police would be a good call for sure.
