Default I am SO tired!

Dear Chicks,

I am so tired today. Last night, I shoveled snow for almost 40 minutes (how many calories do you think that burned?) and then I hopped on the treadmill because it my day to exercise. But I had to nix the usual incline and decrease the speed as the muscles on my right leg haven't quite adjusted yet. I did persevere for 35 minutes and did 2.4 miles. I could feel that I was tired and it was getting late, so I stopped.
This morning, I shoveled for 50 minutes and my entire body hurts. I am ready to curl up under the desk in my cube and fall asleep. If the shoveling at least burned some fat!

Thumbs up

I just want to say how impressed I am with your dedication! I can't seem to get up the energy to do any kind of exercising and you were able to stick with your plan even after shoveling all that snow! A round of applause for you! I know the shoveling worked off calories for you. Tiredness happens to me alot, especially in the winter, possibly SAD?

Just keep up the good work. Naps aren't a bad thing either!

Shoveling snow makes me tired too! It also counts as exercise in my book if you are constantly moving and getting your heart rate up. You probably just overworked your body a bit.

Thank you, ladies. I did "wake up" a bit as the day progressed, but I think it will be a very early night for me tonight.

Re the treadmill - I have been on medication for mild depression for years (Wellbutrin - I have a feeling that it did contribute to my chubbyness although I did more damage myself) and even though I am off it for about a year, I still have a problem staying asleep all night. My "witching hour", as I call it, is between 3 - 4 am. But since I started with the treadmill, I sleep better.
I will still have to shovel what I did not have time to finished this morning, but it should not be that bad. Hopefully no more snow tomorrow.
