No real 'vacations' planned for this year. Dh is leaving in mid-March from Georgia for Iraq. {he's been there since 02 January} He's got a 4 day pass coming up 26th of this month. The kids and I are driving down on the 24th {I do all long-distance driving at night} We'll be in Savannah most of that time, though we do have plans to drive to Hilton Head and/or Jacksonville on a day trip.

He's supposed to be back by Christmas, or at the latest January 8/9, 2009. We're talking about a year long trip to show the girls some of the highlights of our country at that point.

In March I am going to Pendleton, OR. I live in Silverton(near the capitol, Salem). I haven't been that far into Eastern Oregon and I'm looking forward to getting out of town. I turn 21 in July so a friend and I are going to Vegas for my birthday. She is buying us tickets to Thunder from Down Under (basically Australian version of Chippendales). Yay! Then in October I am going to Disneyland FOR THE FIRST TIME! We haven't actually booked that trip yet... waiting for tax returns. But I am so ridiculously excited. This will be a big year for me.

My only advice for Vegas is to arrive at night (you don't want to have your first impression be the city during the day...)

Disneyland is always fun although it has changed a LOT throughout the years. I guess when I was younger I remembered it being better. Universal Studios is a fun place to visit if you are in the So Cal area. I also highly recommend the San Diego zoo if you like animals.

We went on a Disney cruise last fall and looooved it. I would like to take another cruise this year, but airfares are pretty insane if you want to travel on weekends -- which is typically when the cruises leave and return.... so we'll see.

We'd like to do one that goes somewhere exotic like Costa Rica, Honduras, or Guatemala.... or Belize.

I have a few planned, though I'm not sure I would consider them all vacations. My spring break definitely counts and then this summer my family is working on plans to go home and visit and then once I've gotten all of my admissions letters, I'll be going to visit grad schools to see which campus/city/etc I like best. And then moving, yay!

I don't travel much because I cannot fly without heavy sedation, lol, but this year is going to be a busy one!!

I'm leaving for Las Vegas this Thursday!
Going snowboarding with my boyfriend in March.
We had a trip planned to Cabo San Lucas this year, but JUST found out that my boyfriends brother is having his wedding in Cabo San Lucas in December of this year, so we changed plans. It actually works out, because now I get the trip to Cabo for the wedding, PLUS another vacation, but I cannot decided where! We're thinking Dominican Republic or Miami Beach. We are not really beach people but we are heavy partiers and he's got money to burn, so we want something great!!
