BUT it is so awesome that you're opening a barber shop! It sounds like you have the perfect location and whatever you need to really be successful! Sometimes I wish I had a more social business where I saw my customers day in and day out, but then there are other days where I enjoy my solitude :P

Well, in my twenties, I had a bit of overkill with all the being around the people thing and became a bit of an introvert. But, I found that being a stay at home mom has given the inner extorvert to come back out and my gift of gab has re-emerged. When I went to work at MasterCuts, I LOVED the one to one contact with my customers, talking and joking and getting to know people. My husband went into a local drug store to fix their photo kiosk (what he does for a living) and they all swarmed him because I had quit MasterCuts and they didn't know where I went. He didn't know I had cut about 75% of their hair. It was funny...but they all said they'll be coming to get their hair cut by me!
Today my parents were painting and putting up the finishing touches while I went to the beauty supply to get my supplies and two guys came in looking for haircuts. I am SO going to kick butt there, I can just feel it.
And, I'm all painted, scraped, sanded and put together (the shop, that is) and ready to go! The sign guy came in and put up the sign, my barber pole is spinning and lit up, the cupboards are hung and filled with shampoos and towels and gels and things, cape hanging over the chair, apron hanging in the bathroom. I"m ready to roll come Monday morning!! WOOHOO
