I hate bees! I hate all insects! I've been stung before, on the foot. Growing up I loved walking around barefoot and we had bees in the grass and I stepped on one, more than once.
Not meaning to laugh, but I have a similar story. Me and my kids were in Branson one year walking on a trail by the lake. This humongus bee took a liking to DS. It would not leave him alone and he started swatting it...it wouldn't go away. He took off running and I swear to you it was like he parted the sea. He was running so fast the leaves on the trees were moving. We passed an older couple and they looked at us like we did something to him. We never laughed so hard...it was so funny. THank goodness though he didn't get stung-don't think the bee could have caught up with him, lol.
Anothe bee story...when we were little my grandma had honeysuckle growing all along her fence...it smelled sooooo good! Well, my sister being the dummy she was (thinking she was tough and oh so smart) decided she was going to throw a brick into it at the yellow jackets.

We told her not too and I ran far away to watch. She was stung on the head, arms and legs. My grandma put her little concoction on her and she looked so funny with little white dots all over her body. She never did it again.
And my mother said just a couple a days ago, if you leave them alone they won't bother you. Whatever...I'm not staying around to find out. I know that when you swat them it makes them angry but whatever. I don't want them near me.
Sorry for the long story/post, lol.
