1989 - I was a junior in college in Boston, MA. At the time I was a tough city girl from NYC transplanted to what I felt was the suburbs (though I now realize Boston is a major city, it seemed so small to me). I was the white girl listening to hard core rap music while most of the other kids harped about how hip hop "sucked" and wouldn't survive the decade. LOL. These days I mostly listen to salsa. Funny memories.
