Oh and I'm in southern OC so I'm only like 40 minutes from you two BFFs!
HEY BIKINI! We go to the OGGI'S in Vista, near our home or Encinitas...they have several down here...but up your way (I googled it) they have one in Orange, Mission Viejo and Huntington Beach. Are you near San Clemente? I lived there from 4th grade thru 6th grade...WAY! before you were born '64-'66! Have fun bowling

I live in Rancho Santa Margarita which is right next to Mission Viejo so I'll have to look into OGGI'S... Ya I'm also close to San Clemente, I have a few friends who live out there it's like 15 minutes away. I went to the beach down there at T Street all the time when I was little, now I tend to go to Laguna more often. Oh and bowling is quite fun, that was in Vegas!

Gary, did you get the most recent coupon for Islands? You can't beat their fries, especially when they're FREE!

I so miss living in CA...especially El Pollo Loco and pastrami! You cannot get pastrami anywhere like they fix it there. One day I will go back just to eat the foods I miss, lol!
El Pollo Loco is pretty good, where else can you go get ready made chicken like KFC that isn't fried?! There are rotisserie chickens but those just aren't the same as grilled pieces of chicken, marinated in citrus.

And yes I must admit Red Robin is very good. I usually get the crispy chicken burger there though.
I think I've been to that mexican place! I can't remember though. Colima's, right off of Emerald Drive in Vista or Downtown Oceanside are really one of my favorites. I also love the Albertos that is on hill street (ok its not called hill street anymore, PCH?) that is near the corner of vista way.

Anitas is pretty decent for a sit down place and there is a half decent place in San Marcos, near restaurant row but I can't remember the name. Also, there is a place in Encinitas called La especial norte. I highly highly recommend it.

I also can't believe I forgot to mention Wahoos!! Fish tacos! The original one, I think, is in Lake Forest (?) but they have them everywhere. They have a few in Colorado which I miss so much

For grease though, did no one mention Angelo's?! I used to love Angelo's in high school. Fried Zucchini.... gyros.... mmmmm

Anyone from the Northeast?? Anyone familiar with Dunkin Donuts? There is one on every corner up here, so its hard to resist.
My 3 choices...

1) Chicken Pad Thai
2) Wendy's french fries
3) Dunkin Donuts maple cheddar sandwich on a plain bagel

They are evil, aren't they? And of course, on the occasion that I do gorge and get some...I end up eating all the little crumbs that fell off the donuts.

EVIL, EVIL, EVIL. Oh yeah, the crumbs are the best part, that fall off to the sides of the box. Yumm me. I haven't bought them in a long time and I don't plan to anytime soon. Something I need to stay far away from.

I have never eaten at Colima's Nelie, I'll have to try it. I love any of the Albertos though! Coast Hwy.

You might be thinking of ACAPULCO.

Angie and I ate at Anitas less than a month ago, we were at Target shopping. We used to go there often, but have found better places for us. My all time favorite is Don ernestos in San Marcos, but we also go to Nuevo Vallerta, El Ranchero and Village Cafe in Vista. El Bronco near me on College and O'side Blvd is great take-out also!

I also can't believe I forgot to mention Wahoos!! Fish tacos! The original one, I think, is in Lake Forest (?) but they have them everywhere. They have a few in Colorado which I miss so much

We have a RUBIOS down on the corner that meets our fish taco fast food needs. Islands has decent fish tacos too...and I swear the Del Taco here has awesome fish and shrimp tacos!! Angie won't try them..she hates Del Taco

For grease though, did no one mention Angelo's?! I used to love Angelo's in high school. Fried Zucchini.... gyros.... mmmmm
LOVE ANGELOS! for all kinds of "crappy" food...for you anyway I had a job on the beach a few months back...ate there everyday for a week! Had my fix!!

Getting HUNGRY!!

EZ~ I LOVE the sawdust festival! I buy the season pass cause it's like $10 and one visit is $7 and I'll go like 3 times a week all summer! All the art galleries are great, my mom loves Kinkade but I like Wyland more.
