I'm so excited about Super Bowl 41! Peyton Manning better represent! I'm so sick of living in Big 10 country and hearing all these idiots talk about Tom Brady like he's the second coming! I loved Peyton at Tennessee (Go Vols!) and he's the reason I was glued to my set last night even when it looked like it wasn't gonna happen for us!

I only hope our TV is fixed by then. Our 62" HDTV has been on the fritz since before Christmas. The darn guy at Tweeter "forgot" to order the part on Dec 18th. I called the first week of January to see when it would be in, and that's when I found out he "forgot." I'll be on the phone this morning.....meanwhile DH bought a small TV so we would have something to watch in the family room and now it seems to be on the fritz. He'll be taking that back to Best Buy this afternoon....if we don't get this solved, our Superbowl party will have to be in our garage where DH has a small TV set up there.

USC and UCLA are not even in a real conference so why would ANYONE cheer for them? The only time I cheered for UCLA was when they whopped USC and opened the door for the SEC Darlings Florida to head to the big game. The only time I cheer for anyone on the west coast is when they are playing a big 10 team.
And yes, the Bears are going down this year. Peyton needs a ring and not just one around his collar. BTW did y'all know he has trouble seeing colors properly and while in college he kept polaroids in his closet of outfits that his mother matched up so he would know what shirt and tie to wear with what pants and jackets? Thank goodness he can see that blue and white on his teammates jerseys and hit them with those passes!

You're right. Plumbers do charge too much. But see, we're in the glass business (can you say fenestration?), so we really aren't the problem!!! And although we do play golf on occasion, we really can't afford the greens fees around here. The last time I played was on vacation in Washington. I figure I golf about once every 2 or 3 years. DH gets out maybe a dozen times a year. Here's a photo of his last tournament.

We'll be watching the game on our 15" TV in the garage. Tweeter is scheduled to come on the 31st and there is no guarantee the TV will be fixed. Perhaps we can find a nice quiet bar somewhere......probably not!
