Did you see that cutie girl in the audience crying all evening and then being invited on stage at the end... I thought that was priceless and that little girl will remember that forever....
It's because of all those little girls that he's still on the show.
I too was stunned at Sanjaya's performance...I though it was horrible. I thought Gina was horrible also..I am really not a huge fan of the whole rocker chick image. I was also not very impressed by LaKisha this week. Usually she is brilliant, but not this week.
I really, really enjoyed Chris R. , Blake and Jordin. And of course, Melinda stole the show once more.
IMO, Melinda was #1, but I loved Blake's performance. I also like Gina but last night...not my favorite. Jordan is also very good. I just can't help but think that Sanjaya just hasn't made it thru puberty yet.
The more I thought about it at work today, I think Melinda is going to sell a ton of CD's before she is through...but I am starting to think that JORDAN is what the AMERICAN IDOL show should be all about, the young up-coming star.

Jordin was very good last night. She seems to have improved so much since the show started.
I'm sure Melinda will be successful and get a record deal even if she doesn't win.
I was afraid Stephanie might be leaving, even though others are MUCH worse singers. She has an amazing voice and is a beautiful girl (anyone else notice how perfect and flawless her skin always looks?), but I think she was too often overshadowed by Lakesha, Melinda, and Jordin. She didn't have much of a niche, and she just didn't stand out enough. I have no idea WHO she is, either, ya know? She just comes and sings and I have no idea what kind of person she is, whereas the others show much more personality, and I think that was also part of her downfall.
But it's still a shame since she was a great singer, and we all know there are much worse singers still in the game...
Can you imagine how AWFUL it must be for poor Sanjaya. He KNOWS that his voice is weak and that he isn't the best singer out there, and I am sure that, unless he is completely out to lunch, he knows what people are saying about him. And every week, he has to put himself out there and do it all again. I wonder if one can bow out gracefully under these circumstances...

But at the same time, he does have some legitimate fans (like the crying girl--she listed 3 favorite idols from this season, and he was one of them). Let him ride the wave--I'm sure afterwards, he'll be doing talk show appearances and whatnot. Let him laugh all the way to the bank...
