And speaking of recipes there is always "Engagement chicken ".

Operator265 03-02-2011 02:40 PM

Oh. A 3FCTK23 Pot Luck Supper, huh? Sounds good.

I'll see if I can find a recipe for Funeral Potatoes.

I have it if you can't find it. It will go good with the engagement chicken.

Can't you people get it straight. 3FC is about meaningful eating.

I won't violate that by posting the recipe, but the ingredients are:
Marsha's Mom's Funeral Potatoes

* 6 c. diced potatoes
* 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed cream of chicken soup
* 1 stick butter, melted
* 1 c. sour cream
* 2 c. cheddar cheese, grated, divided
* 1/4 c. grated onion (optional)
* Salt and pepper to taste
Now what eating plan uses recipes with 1 stick of butter and 1 cup of sour cream?

And you don't have to be Mormon to eat them. Nor necessarily dying. Or so I'm told.

Ruthxxx 03-02-2011 05:42 PM

Can't be Bill - both ears are present.

cathydoe 03-02-2011 05:57 PM

Yeah, that is what I thought BUT that could be part of the cover-up! Hummmmmm :shrug: :chin:

Who is Mormon?

Who is Dying?

Operator265 03-02-2011 06:04 PM

Uh no, Bill. Those aren't funeral potatoes. Funeral Potatoes are topped with corn flakes. How can you have Funeral Potatoes without corn flakes, for Pete's sake?

Ruthxxx 03-02-2011 06:20 PM

I wonder if we Anglicans have the equivalent. We'd probably call them "Celebration of Life Potatoes". I must ask the new Bishop. (Got my pic in the local paper congratulating him. Damned paparazzi!)

BillBlueEyes 03-02-2011 08:46 PM

Of course it's not me.
1. Look at those biceps - those can lift!
2. I have blue eyes.

Ruthxxx 03-03-2011 04:45 PM

On this day in 1845, Florida became the 27th U.S. state.

And where the heck is Zan?

BillBlueEyes 03-04-2011 01:31 PM

It's not St David's or St Patrick's Day either. I guess the point is that we're pointless.

Strawberries were 2 Pounds for $4.

WebRover 03-06-2011 01:29 AM

I have never seen Strawberries by the pound. Just by the quart, flat, half flat, etc. Maybe that's because I live near strawberry country, near U-Pick fields, where the county fair is the strawberry festival, which started yesterday BTW, where the featured item is the strawberry shortcake. But I go on ...
