Default Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

I just made these and they are so good that I had to share!!

19oz can of chickpeas
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (I used 3/4 tsp)
1tbsp olive oil

Preheat oven to 450. Drain and wash chick peas and put in bowl. Add oil, cayenne pepper and salt and mix well. Place evenly on an aluminium foil lined pan bake for 15 mins, remove and shake pan well and bake for another 15 mins. I just did 20 mins in total so they would be soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Enjoy! There is approximately 200 calories per 1/2 cup and they are so filling as a small meal or snack!

yum! I love chickpeas (hummus, felafel, etc.). This would be good with curry spices (tumeric, cumin, garam masala, garlic) mixed in.

I did make something like this once, I cooked them a little too long, but the edible ones were great..lol
I'll have to try it again.

One time I came across dried chickpeas with the dry beans and such, they were good, you could just rehydrate however many you wanted to use at a time. For salad I like the small cans, but sometimes I just put some chickpeas and black olives in a bowl together and eat some for a snack.

thanks for sharing, I'm going to try this again, yummy yum
