I make a topping using nutritional yeast, onion & garlic powder, with some chili powder for kick - whir it up in the blender to mix and sprinkle over the hot popcorn - yum!

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I'm trying to come up with something low cal & low chemical to make the topping stick to the plain popcorn. A lot of people have alluded to spray butter. I've tried it with I Can't Believe It's Not butter in spray form and find 1) I need to spray a lot to cover everything and 2) the spray butter makes the popcorn kind of soggy (I've found this when melting ICBINB and spreading it over the popcorn, too). Am I the only one? I was thinking of getting a Misto and putting olive oil in it, that way I could get some coverage but use less oil/butter, and no chemicals that way. Has anyone tried this? I don't want to spray the popcorn with Pam bc of the accelerants & chemicals used.

I have tried nutritional yeast and enjoyed it more than I thought I would, but added real butter to make it stick. I have a really tasty popcorn seasoning mix I got from The Spice & Tea Exchange that contains: salt, cheddar cheese powder, paprika, chives, marjoram, garlic, vinegar powder, black pepper, and sugar. I will have to try the hot sauce/ICBINB (or Smart Balance, since that's what I have) combo. I love buffalo flavor!

I was out of my Kernels seasoning and I saw that I had a package of Hidden Valley ranch dip powder...so I tried that. It was pretty good, surprised at how it turned out
