Most Chocolate companies remove the antioxidants because they add to the already bitter taste of dark chocolate. They're called Flavanols, and most chocolate companies dont advertise the existence of the flavanols (or the non-existence for that matter) on the packet.

I have yet to find a trust worthy brand that does contain these antioxidants, my poor heart needs all the help it can get, even at my young age!

I buy dark chocolate from a website called WorldWideChocolate.com. They have a fantastic range of really high quality chocolate from European and American chocolatiers. It's fun to try the different brands and different cocoa contents. One of my faves is Michel Cluizel Grand Noir 85%. I also love the Dolfin Extra Dark Chocolate Neapolitans: these are individually wrapped so I keep them in my desk at work for when I want something chocolatey in the afternoon.

Dark chocolate is absolutely the best choice for me whenever I crave for sweets. It's very rich that makes it satisfying. Moreover, it contains flavonoids, a strong antioxidants which is good for health. Dark chocolate can improve blood vessel flow and reduce high blood pressure (according to WebMD)!!! Be careful not to have too much b/c it still has high calorie. However, it's a healthy choice so makes me feel good!

I have found that Lindt 70% chocolate has a funny aftertaste to it. Is the 85% any better?
