Default You Can Do... Pilates

I bought "You Can Do.. Pilates" by Leslie Sanson tonight, it was 7 bucks and worth a try. How effective is Pilates in weightloss?

well the best thing for weightloss is cardio, something that gets your heart rate up. There are some pilaties style cardio DVDs like Crunch Burn and Firm and Yoga Booty Ballet but they aren't really pilaties which is more about toning and core strength.

On the other hand the more muscle you have, the faster you metabolize (or something like that) Thats why it is important to have some sort of strength training in your workout routine. I try and do pilates every other day to strengthen my "core".

(I'm not an expert this is just what I have read)
