I just did a couple of the new workouts this morning. I did the Punch, Kick and Jam and the 3T (totally tubular turbo). The PK&J is a heck of a workout! I sweat more doing that than I did any other TJ workout. That may be my new favorite ;) . The 3T is a toning workout. It's tough, but not nearly as fun as the PK&J. I liked both. I'll try the cardio #3 or the fat blaster tomorrow and see if I like them too. I'm sure you guys are going to like the new ones too. Let me know when you get them.

hey Connors Mum... I Too Am Jealous!! I Want All The Workouts But You Scared Me When You Said It Wasnt Fun.. I Like The Deception Of It All, Not Really Realizing I Am Working Out Lol!
brandy...when Do You Start Training Other People In Turbo Kick? I Would Love To Be On That Level... I Started To Go Harder During The Cardio Party Today, Really Concentrating On Technique. I Feel It More Where She Said I Should. I Twisted My Body More During The Punches So I Feel It On My Sides. I Jsut Feel Like I Need More Work On My Legs, Butt And Thighs. I Dont Have The Lower Body Jam Yet. Until Then I Think I Might Hit The Gym, Do Some Cardio And Lift On My Legs. I Lost Another Pound! I Know It Is Just Probaly Water Due To The Cleansing That I'm Doing But I Dont Care-it Is Off My Butt! |
I think the cardio workouts are a lot of fun. The toning ones like Lower Body Jam, Turbo Sculpt and now 3T are great workouts, but I wouldn't say they were fun. They're worth doing and I just add them on to whichever Cardio workout I decide to do that day. Maybe when I'm in better shape I'll consider toning fun. Then again, if it's too fun, I may not be working hard enough...;)

Hi! I am new to this website. I came across this board because I was trying to look for reviews of the Beach Body products... it's hard because I never know if the reviews are real or not! Anyway...
I ended up buying the basic YBB and Turbo Jam packages... I would have bought some of the "extras" that you can purchase with them, but I wanted to try them out first and decide if I like them. Plus, the other sets sounded a little more advanced- frankly, I am starting over again from a couple of lazy efforts to lose the weight I put on after college, and I'm in pretty bad shape. But that will be changing soon! I am excited to start up again, and everyone here seems very supportive and friendly... that's exactly what I need! Hopefully I can help you as much as I know you will help me. :goodvibes |
:welcome: TonkaBean!!!
I know the feeling about starting over. TJ is a lot of fun. I'm sure you'll like it. Let us know when you get it and how you like it. You know you can come here for support anytime you need it. Nice you meet you! Diane |
OK, the new dvd's are here! I couldn't resist and did the cardio party 3. (That after 45 min. spin class, and about an hour bike ride outside!) I LOVED this workout. I love that its a little longer. This one has you optionally use the weighted hand gloves. I only kept the gloves on for maybe 15-20 minutes and had to take them off for the rest of the tape!
cjlafaye-I should get my certification level in 4-6 weeks in the mail. Then I COULD teach, but I really don't want to. I did the class as a reward for reaching a months workout goals!! Keep working at it and you WILL be at this level before you know it!!!! Another pound? You go girl! |
Even though I so shouldn't I'm really tempted to just by Turbo Jam after hearing so many great things about it! I wish I could just purchase the DVDs but I feel like the set would be best... However, I want to purchase maximum burn? Would that be a good idea?

My wife and I have severe fear of buying infomercial stuff as well...I was coming on here looking for results, but I've really only read that it's a lot of fun. Our main goal is: We have a wedding to go to June 10 and we want to lose as much weight as possible by then. We are currently doing Kinetic on the PS2 and that seems to be working well, but then we saw the 1000 cals/hour advertised on the infomercial and all we keep thinking is: Is this for real? I've been scouring the web for real reviews, not TJ followers that are planted to look real and I know this is the forum to look for honest opinions. So far on here I've read 17 lbs in 6 weeks, 2 inches off waist in about a week..
Is that pretty much similar for everyone? I know everyone is different, but I mean, what we want to know is: Is this the real deal?? Thanks, Craig and Carrie |
I really can't attest for calories burned or results because I usually do 2 workouts a day. 1 Turbo, and mix the other with different cardio workouts. I do know that it is a great workout and I always feel like I've accomplished something as opposed to other tapes where I barely broke a sweat. Not only have I broken a sweat, I'm dripping. I was hesitant to go thru the infomercial also but haven't regretted it one bit. Good luck.
