I ordered mine last night. I have been doing Turbo Jam and P90X. I am super stoked to do this one. I'm a big gal, but I can run, hop, and punch with the best of em. I'm doing a Livestrong Challenge (Austin) 5K in October, and Turbo Fire will definately help me shed some more inches. At 6' tall, and fat, running still hurts...lol

I ordered my package yesterday. Can't wait to receive it! I should receive it by July 6. Turbo Fire here I come!

I ordered my copy last night! I can't wait to start this program! I love all of the turbo videos!!

I just finished my first week of a hybrid CLX and Turbo Fire. I am loving the rotation. Chalene rocks! For those of you that have tried Turbo Jam, this is similar, but different. It is much more fast paced and more of a cardio burn. I did Fire 60 the other day and burned about 700 calories. Even thought I've been doing TJ for a few years I am still learning the moves, but I'm burning calories even when I'm not getting everything right. The best way that I can think of to describe it is TJ, but at a faster pace. From the warm-up to the cool down the pace is faster and more intense. I love Chalene, but the way that she cues the videos seems like she is assuming most people are TJ veterans and know the moves. For the most part her counts and the way she builds on each rotation is the same in each of her workouts, but I did find myself confused by some of the moves. That being said, I'm sure I'll have them down after doing each video two or three times.
I am burning the same amount of calories as I do with Insanity workouts and feel just as worked, but Turbo Fire is more interesting to me. It is less jumping than Insanity, but more constant movement. There are intervals, but for the most part you are moving more. Here is a quick review of the workouts I've completed so far... HIIT 15 This is a short interval workout - I burned about 250 calories during the 15 minutes. You are working hard during the intervals and take breaks after each one. The intervals are not as difficult as in Insanity, but my HR was up and my body felt the burn. Fire 60 This is a full hour of punching, jabbing, jumping and kicking. I was worked after the hour and definitely saw a calorie burn. This workout is fast paced and I'm sure I'll get better each time I do it. I imagine that this workout would be more difficult if you had never done a Turbo Jam workout. Fire 30 The same as Fire 60, but half the time. I burned almost 400 calories during this workout. Fire 55 EZ This was a solid 55 minutes and was just a bit less intense than the Fire 60 and 30. It was more intense than the TJ workouts, but it wasn't as high impact and the rotation was more similar to TJ in that you have two different routines within each set - typically one is a little bit easier than the other. I burned over 600 calories. I'll continue to post as I try the other videos. I am not going to do any of the sculpting routines during this rotation because I'm doing another round of CLX. I see such great results when I'm lifting heavy that I don't want to stop. I'm loving the mix of hard cardio and weights. I had tried a similar rotation with Insanity, but I difficulty staying motivated and interested in the workouts. |
eeeek, I just ordered mine! So how much room do the moves take do you think?
|
your posts have me ready to cave on these... how do you like the toning workouts?
|
I think that depends on how big or small you make your moves--I would say enough room to be able to lie down with your arms extended overhead should do it.

I'm doing a TF/CLX hybrid so I haven't tried any of the toning workouts. I'll preview them this week, though, and let you know what I think!

I just ordered Turbo Fire. I'm really looking forward to it. I've decided to take my procrastination in hand and do something about losing weight, this is step 2.
The first step was finding this book on bodytypes and what each should and should not eat and what workouts are best for them. The food is still a struggle, but as bad as I have been. |
I'm loving reading this thread! I just started Turbo Jam, and I'm really hoping to move up to TurboFire! :)
|
I just finished my first workout! Some of the choreography was difficult, but I think I'll pick it by the end of the week. I'm pretty excited. It's definitely intense! I'm kinda scared about the HIIT 15 tomorrow morning.
|
I ordered it from Amazon yesterday, and I'm a Prime member so I got the next day shipping, it's on the FedEx truck RIGHT NOW!! I can't wait to start this.
|
Did the first workout this morning, wow, was I sweating! I went over all the inserts and watched the first video. I really like the fact that all the workouts you're to do that day are on 1 dvd. Having to stop, switch and pull out a different DVD always made me stop working and not get to it.
There's also a CLX/TurboFire hybrid calendar included, I'm gonna give that a shot after this round. |
So I just started Turbo Fire last Tuesday, but stopped this weekend because friends were visiting from out of town. Should I just start over you think, or pick up where I left off? I need to figure it out by tonight!
|
I'm interested in this but am wondering if I should start with Turbo Jam first. I am not overly coordinated and think it might be best to learn the moves from TJ first. Any thoughts on this?
