  • Quote: On the circuit days I've burned roughly 300 calories per each workout so for.

The Interval DVD, I burned over 500 calories

The Burn It Off/Recharge, I burned something like 450 calories.....I believe I made note of it in my Blog as long as I remembered to put my monitor on.
    wow, that is great!!!

Thanks MJ! I think it helps that I'm not really in that great of shape to begin with. lol. It doesn't take much to get me huffing and puffing but I suspect my calories burned will go down as I get more endurance.

Well, just finished Day 10; Burn Circuit 2 (MY FAVE!)
I updated my blog if your interested....I have a TON to do so wanted to keep this post brief.

I hope everyone is having a great Monday! (if thats even possible!)
  • Hey girls, today (02/02) is Chalene's birthday!!!

ginnym1981, I'm loving your blog! thanks for sharing your experience!!
  • I'm preparing myself mentally for the Push Phase and I'm kind of scared. How is it? Do you guys start the phase way heavier than you were on the last week of the Burn Phase?
  • I am so in love with Chalean Extreme! I just complete the Burn Phase II (Day 3). Boy was I shaking by the time it was over!
  • You girls know that you have to burn 3500 calories per week to lose 1 pound... so that is about 500 a day. Do you think that it makes a difference if you burn 400 calories one day and 600 on the other? Is the total of it that counts or do you have to literally burn 500 calories per day?

I ask this because there are days that I burn 350 cals and others that I burn 700. :/ What do you think?

Ok, first of all, remember that you aren't ONLY burning calories while you work out, you are burning calories every second.

Secondly, people treat calories like they are these little packets of things, but a calorie is a unit of measurement of energy, not a tangible thing you can take in and remove.

Because of this, it doesn't matter when you burn your calories. As long as you are burning an average of an extra 500 a day, you will burn an EXTRA 3500 calories a week. Make sense?

Yes, it makes perfect sense Thanks for clearing that out for me

This may be a stupid question but here it goes
If i burn the 300 or 500 per workout. then my calorie intake (food) should be what?? what i am supposse to eat per my Height and weight ?? or no? i dont know how to calculate that part! I normally eat between 1400 + 1600 cals
If i workout in the morning burn 300 calories if i decrease my food calories by 200 that will be how its done!!!
  • New to Chalean and I could use some support!

  • I just did TJ's Cardio Party Live and Burn Circuit 3. And it's quite late.. but I work all night and sleep in the morning. :/

Oh, I am wasted. Did CP Live for the first time and it is awesome! And right after did some strength workout.... my whole body is shaking. I think I'm gonna be sore tomorrow!!
  • Hey girls just wanted to let you know that I'm still around!
Today was Day 16, Burn Circuit #1. Feeling good and working on lifting more/completing the reps or working until failure.
I'm working on a spreadsheet that will work easier than using the guidebook (plus I like to keep mine blank! haha)

I'll post it here if anyone else is interested!

    Keep up the great work!
  • Hi Monkey! Welcome and great job on completing your first week!

I just finished Burn Circuit 2, week 3.
My eating has been crap lately. I don't think I'm going WAY over my calories each day but I eat some fast food and either skip dinner or eat something really light if I get hungry. Still kinda stupid of me since I'm working so hard on my workouts.
    I need to STOP!!!!! Ugh!!!

Here's to a new day tomorrow!
  • Just finished TJ's 20 Min Workout + Burn Circuit 1. I am so tired! I'm having some problems with my heart monitor though.. it's been giving me wrong data. For 3 times today the heart beat went down to zero... and that has as impact at the final data. Oh.. it sucks :/

But the workout was amazing. I'm on my last week in the first (Burn) phase.
  • Started Push on Super Bowl Sunday. And I've finally got my eating under control which I think caused me to not see much weight loss in January. I do however feel my muscles strengthening and toning up nicely underneath a dense layer of fat. I am not deterred by this thick layer of fat. I am inspired to continued to do something about it. I'm adding in Walk Away the Pounds DVDs that I've had for years to boost my cardio a bit as I have a lot to lose but once the fat is gone I should have some nice muscle definition to show off. All in due time. I will not stop. 2010 is the year that I will see a physical change in my body. Anyone out there with Turbo Jam Maximum Results dvds that they'd like to sell? Right now I want to keep my cardio low impact but eventually I want to try Turbo Jam...
