Default Breakfast???

Can you share some breakfast ideas? Obviously I'm avoiding junk cereals, but I haven't even wanted to eat healthy cereals lately. Actually, breakfast foods haven't been very appealing at all, so I've eaten soup a couple days this week. Any suggestions to get me out of a breakfast rut???

Thanks!
Jenny

Smile How about eggs

I usually eat 3 egg whites and a piece of bacon or sausage. I'm on weight watchers and it usually comes to about 2-4 points depending on the type of meat I have. Sometimes I skip the meat all together and have 3 egg whites which is only 1 point. Hope this helps a little

I like cottage cheese, or sugar free yogurt and fruit, or sugar free "maple and brown sugar" instant oatmeal....Wal-mart sells their own store brand, it is good.

I rotate between a few different "greatest hits":

* quick oats (not instant) made w/ff milk, some combo of toppings (fresh or frozen fruit, sometimes applesauce, walnuts, cinnamon)
* 2 Kashi GoLean waffles, toasted with pb and sliced banana
*wg English muffin or wg toast w/pb (or cashew butter) and sliced apple
* a small can of fruit (in juice) mixed with ff yogurt or ff cottage cheese
* pancakes from an organic whole grain mix (like Arrowhead Mills or Hodgson Mills buckwheat)

I should add that I rarely drink milk during the day, so I heat a cup at night for a "soothing nightime routine". If I have cold cereal at bkfst, I have milk with it. I'm still skeptical about this 1000 mg. recommendation for daily calcium.

I love the mini whole wheat bagels with Philadelphia Cream Cheese Jammers spread on them.. very filling and delicious! Sometimes I'll eat a peanut butter sandwich with a little banana sliced on it.

I am eating roast beef and broccoli for breakfast. My co-workers think I am weird, but oh well.

I had a fried egg on toast this morning.

Yesterday I had home-made "granola" (oats, cranberries, chopped hazelnuts & smidge of muscovado) with fat free greek yoghurt.

Day before that I can't even remember!

i've had left overs. 1/2 cup wild rice, 1/2 white beans, 1/2 corn all mixed together and really filling.
