Default Ok I NEED 2 loose 10 pounds!!!!!

Hi, I am a "feather weight", I need to loose 10lbs. I have had a very rough year, I don't want to say that is the reason (because it's not, it just doesn't help matters). It is so true, about how it doesn't matter how much you have to loose, it matters how you feel about your own body. I know that I have a great body, but I know it looks even better 10 ponds lighter. I am 130 lbs and I am 5 feet 3 inches tall. I have a major problem with binging on PEANUT BUTTER, I just don't stop. I am going to try and go on south beach and combined it with slim fast. I did lose weight on both of these diets in the past, lets see what happens when they are combined. If I could only lay off the peanut butter. I am going to tie some colorful string around my wrist to remind me to stick to my diet and stay away from the "Evil" peanut butter! I also want to start this new thread b/c I was wondering if anyone of you feather weights had, had any success. What has worked for you and what has not. ~Well I am signing off. Bye!!!!!! Have a nice day

Hey there!

I too have 10 to lose, maybe 11... I am the same height (well 5'2 1/2) and weight as you are ( I haven't changed any of my "stats") and I also think I look better 10 pound lighter. I pretty much have a problem with craving sweets (and giving in) I LOVE cheesecake and want it EVERYDAY!!!...that is what Iam trying to stop. Maybe we can work together and encourage eachother!!

Luvbug -- have you ever tried the natural peanut butter? The only downside is that you have to refrigerate it and either stir it before using, or store it upside down. I store it upside down and it's fine. I also buy fresh-ground peanut butter at Central Market (you probably have a similar place there) and it doesn't separate. It's just ground peanuts, that's all, and it is very good. I find that when I'm craving it, if I eat a spoonful I'll usually be okay.

As for the cheesecake, Fitgal, have you ever seen that SF/FF instant pudding that's cheesecake flavor? It really is! I add sliced strawberries and it is sooo good. I'm sure you could tweak things a bit and use FF cream cheese, the pudding mix, some Cool Whip and make something that strongly resembles cheesecake.

Now for the chips! I like Terra chips or Guiltless Gourmet blue corn tortillas. Both are very, very good and crunchy and go well with salsa or guacamole. If you haven't tried them, I highly recommend them!

Now you all have to come up with a substitute for my beer!

Default Helloooooeeeee

Hi Girly's how are you? I am doing well. I have tried natural peanut butter and I am addicted to that too. But as long as I can just have a little and not go crazy with it, it should be ok. So, now I am doing the South Beach Diet, I lost weight on it before. I will eat eggs, lean meat, nuts, sugarfree jello, partskim cheese and veggies. No bread, fruit, pasta or rice for two weeks then you can start eating it again. Then the third phase you can start adding a little more into your diet. I will totally keep you posted on that. It is really great to have you girls to talk about this stuff with, cuz everyone else just gets really frustrated with me and says, "Gosh Adrienne you are not fat you look great bla, bla bla"...
Well, good luck! Bye, Talk with ya soon!!!!!

What has worked for me is "Out of sight, out of mind" ... If I don't see it I don't crave it or want it. When I come back from grocerie shopping I send everything that is a red light food for me to the basement... I don't even go down to put it there because then I'll know where it is, I send DH or one of the kids to hide it...

My downfall is wine

Kathy is that pic you? Oh and agree about the beer, I love to drink beer too. That could be part of our problem. In the South Beach Diet you can't have alcohol for two weeks either. Then after the 2 weeks you can have wine, but I won't do that b/c I know I will still have beer in moderation! Stay strong Girls and I will stay away from the peanut butter. Deal? I don't know how long I can stay away from it but I will try!

Is there a picture somewhere? I swear this laptop is possessed -- sometimes I can't see trackers, or avatars, or profile pictures.

Sometimes I wonder if it's ever going to be possible for me to lose the last few because I just can't stay away from the beer! Not that I have a problem of anything (please don't call AA on my behalf!) but just because I enjoy it!

I'm doing between 1200-1500 calories a day, and I bike 10 Kms a day(half an hour) along with some other exercises once in awhile when I have some free time!! Pretty hard to get that time with a 2 and a half boy wanting your attantion constantly!
Have a great day!

Default do'in good!

I am doing really good, sticking with South Beach and I had an awesome spin class today!
Today I had 1 egg, 1 egg white with low fat cheese/onion/spinach, chicken and green beans, balance bar, another bar and then another bar. The last bar I had was SO good, it's called power crunch*YUMMY* it was SO good. If anyone love chocolate, TRY IT. It also has 14 grams protein, 11 grams fat and 195 calories, I think carbs were like under 30. So, I should be done eating for the day. We will see, I hope I am not hungry later on . Well talk 2 u ladies later
Adrienne
Oh yeah I had a nonfat Latt'e too!
