Yesterday I was an  :D :D :D

1574 kcals (a bit low, but not too bad) F16%, C43% P40% <---- lookit THAT! I don't think I've ever had a 40% day!

Scales are being kind this morning too! :dancer:

So that's 1.5 outta 2 days (Weds scores a half, because of all the biscuits!)

softballmom 07-21-2006 08:37 AM

Good job Frus! I love the 40% P; how did you do it? I need my protein higher.

Yesterday's tally:
Cal: 1285
F: 22% [Sat. 6%]
Cb: 58%
P: 21% (See, I told you)
Fb: 17g
H2O: 64 oz. I'm getting there...

Yesterday was mostly a fruit/vegetable day. I did have tuna for lunch and my 1% milk with dinner. My fat stats are about the only thing that came in good. Carbs still need to be lower and of course, protein higher. I did get my calories up a couple hundred.

I'm not really sure where I landed calorie-wise yesterday. I think around 1200, but I'm not entirely sure. I often don't count exactly because I get frustrated trying to figure out EXACTLY how many calories things are, so I just eat healthy things and get in my six mini-meals a day. I ate good stuff, though! Plain whole wheat toast, fish marinated in sesame sauce and baked, cauliflower, a medium carrot, protein shake, more wheat toast, peanut butter and flax seed sandwich... Whoo. I don't worry too much about getting enough water. I drink a LOT of water and diet iced tea. I've already had four out of the eight recommended cups and it's only 11:30 :)

Thanks!!!

Hi Alinnell  I use GNC products most of the time because that's all there is in this town... I use GNC Whey Iso Burst, I like it, it easily dilutes in water or milk I always buy vanilla and mix frozen stawberries or mangoes with my handy dandy Braun hand mixer. I also have EAS AdvantEdge Whey Protein in chocolate at the moment, when shaken with the shaker it foams up like a real milkshake, so depending on your DD's pickiness , she may like this one better. Taste in protein shakes is strickly a personal thing, what one person may like the other may hate. At GNC you can buy one serving pouches to try different brands and flavours.

Ilene,
Thanks so much! This will probably be the perfect choice for her. I'll go to our local GNC and let her choose a couple. We're also heading to Clark's Nutrition and I'll see if they have some sample sizes as well so she (and maybe I) can try a few different ones.

Another clean day under my belt :D

I'd ran 4.7 miles in the gym and left my post-workout snack at work, so I got something at the petrol station. After circling the shop twice and being sorely tempted by the (low calorie) chocolate bars, I found a small packet of nuts and raisins. :dancer: I'm so glad you can get stuff like that now. 5 years ago it would've been sweets or cakes or crisps and nothing else in the shop.

yesterday started off clean and went down the drain that night. exercise was 30 min. water aerobics. today has been pretty good. but will be going to a cookout in a hour so kinda worried. i'll let you know.

Yesterday just was messy for me. Cals are OK but the percentage of calories from gumdrops and wine was not healthy!
And this morning, a lovely man kissed me awake and invited me out to breakfast. So, I've got some correcting to do fat and protein wise :) A little weight lifting wouldn't hurt either.

srmb60 07-23-2006 01:16 PM

Saturday was better. Cals good and 32% protein. I biked and lifted weights.

I've got some things I need to do today but sooner or later I'm going to go back and see what I said I'd do this week and see where I'm at.

2frustrated 07-24-2006 05:08 AM

Saturday - CLEAN
Sunday - CLEAN (and very low calorie :o but was asleep for 4 hours in the middle of the day, so I probably didn't need too many calories!)
Monday - Lookin' good so far... :D

srmb60 07-24-2006 07:28 AM

Yesterday was Ok. Some chips and ice cream, but OK. Protein was only 29%.
DH and I got into the gardening, so I didn't get any gym-style exercise in but it was work!
I'm going to reassess my goals for this week in just a minute here and see what I have to do to come up about right.
My first challenge will be to find a little cash for the neighbour farmer who has a box of green and yellow beans for me.

srmb60 07-24-2006 07:52 AM

Here's where I stand with two days to go.
average 1389 cals with 27% protein
37/100 minutes weights
47/60 minutes walking
39/60 minutes biking
waaaay more than 60 minutes gardening

Apparently weight-lifting is what goes the way of the buffalo if I'm busy outside. Today, I'm going to move broken concrete chunks to the rock pile in a wheel barrow. In my head, I'll know that's good too.

alinnell 07-24-2006 12:49 PM

I don't even want to talk about the way my week ended! My DS was in cooking camp and invited us to lunch Friday--spaghetti (not whole wheat), garlic bread (ditto) and salad. At least I loaded up on salad! That night, the family opted for macaroni and cheese. Ugh!
Saturday and Sunday were better except for the fast food at lunch.
At least my weight did not go up!!!! I'm still looking to lose those last two pounds I gained during vacation.

softballmom 07-24-2006 01:03 PM

Weekend looked good.

Both days averaged out right at 1200 cals.
Yesterday's fats were high, but only 7% Saturated. Ate sunflower seeds watching dd's ballgames. I finally got my Carbs less than 50%, but Protein is still low. Water intake was also pretty good.

2frustrated 07-24-2006 04:57 PM

A whopping amount of protein today :o Carbs approx 30 ish % - that's probably the lowest ever! Fat 28% and probably not much saturated in there - just avocado and salmon that I've been eating!

Feeling virtuous :D

If my eating gets any better I'm going to start linking my fitday so I can brag about it!
