I've heard so many diet "tricks" that have failed me that I can't even recount them. I now realize they didn't work because there is NO TRICK to this.

Avoid foods that spike my blood sugar and lead to overeating.

Yoghurt. Both soy and the regular kind. <3 And every single fruit, except mangos. I love fruit~

Every single commercial for diet products. "You can eat whatever you want, just take this pill and you'll lose 5 pounds a week." Suuuuuuuuure.

Eat natural foods. Even though packaged foods might contain less calories, they also contain less nutrients and have loads of added crap.

I guess the highest I've ever weighed is the high 120s, although I've never really weighed myself in the past so I'm not sure. Currently I'm weighing in about 123/124ish. I haven't decided on a target weight yet, but I would really like to be firmly a (UK) size 8 (I think that's US 6?). I'm thinking my target will be somewhere in the region of 110 - 115lbs.

5'3" (plus a little bit!)

I live at my dad's house partly with my dad and my sister -- though my dad is often away visiting his girlfriend and my sister is often away visiting her boyfriend! The rest of the time I live in a rented house with close friends/housemates. I have a boyfriend of over two years but we don't live together.

That it's 'just' calories in vs. calories out. I know that's a large part of it, but our body is far too complicated to claim that it's definitely 100% that simple.

diet should become your lifestyle not something you toss away when you reach your goal. i like that all this process of losing weight lasted a couple of months because that way it becomes a habbit and there's less danger of getting all that fat back on

EXERCISE. Also that if you have always had a weight problem, just because the lose the weight it doesn't mean your problem disappears. You will always have to watch what you eat. And that is why I always find myself at 150s. ^_^

I love surveys. Finally made up my mind to do this...

1. What's your top weight, current weight and target?
Top weight was 197 lbs. Actually it was around 200 lbs (that was after I had eaten) but seeing 2-0-0 on the scale is what kickstarted me into a lifestyle change.
My current weight is 143.8 (although this morning, it read 144.5 but it's my TOM) and that is the smallest I have been since... I don't know, middle school.
My goal weight used to be 140 lbs but now I think it's going to be 135 lbs.

2. How tall are you?
5'5" :)

3. What's your family situation?
I live with my parents and my sister

4. Where do you live?
See above

5. One GOOD book.
That is terribly difficult but I'll give you one of my three favourites- Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

Arrested Development. Period.

God. I don't know. I don't really have one food. It's just food in general :)

Eating nothing but protein is perfectly okay

Drink lots of water.

My highest weight ever was about 160, but that was about ten years ago and it was very brief. My current weight is 130. My target weight is 115, but if I find I'm content at 120, I may stay there. I have felt my most comfortable between 105 and 125.

Married to a fabulous fella.

Just one? I like everything from Shakespeare to comic books. Voracious, varied reader is me. :D

I'm a huge Lady Gaga fan. I tend to like the songs that don't wind up as singles, or at least aren't as big of hits as her famous stuff that everybody knows, like "Boys, Boys, Boys" or "Summerboy" or "Teeth."

Netflix is a helluva drug. I've been mainlining old TV series like crazy. Right now I'm watching season 6 of The X-Files.

If I don't get sushi at least once a month, I feel deprived.

Muscle weighs more than fat.

Eating from dessert plates gives you a more appropriate dinner portion size.
