It's great to have featherweights thread - I have huge admiration for all those who have lost such huge amounts of weight, and I was a bit worried that I might seem trivial, but what's important is that we all get to where we want to. I'll go and explore now... who knows where I'll end up!
I come on 3fat chicks often, on the south beach thread, just noticed this one.
I am currently at 145 lbs and would like to be at 120. I am only 5'2" so even though I am only 145 lbs which might not sound alot to some, to me it is. I feel very uncomfortable, when I was younger I was always small, 115 lbs in high school and I've slowly gained this weight over the past 10 years since I graduated.
I am going to Mexico in December with my boyfriend, who's in very very good shape, and I'd like to feel and look hot beside him

Hi guys, I'd like to join. I have 20 pounds total to lose, working on the first 10. I'm eating clean, more veggies, and getting in 3 - 4 days of exercise a week - mostly Pilates, yoga, long-distance walking, and weight-work. As I feel better, I'd like to switch over to some more robust cardio, but not yet.
Featherweights is great! When I talk about weight loss, people roll their eyes at me and dismiss me all the time. It's hard to get support when you only have 15 pounds to lose. I lost 40 pounds my freshman year of college, only to put 15 back on in the last year (I'm just finishing up my sophomore year). It will be great to get some support here, as I get no support from friends or family, who are all heavier than me. They don't understand how miserable it is for me to watch the scale go up and up, to feel like I have no control over my life, to not fit into any of my clothes! My dad recently lose over 70 pounds and is on track to lose over 100 more! If he can lose 70, I think I can lose 15!
I'm going to eat 1200-1500 calories a day and try to get at least 45 minutes of cardio every day.
Hi all--just want to add a little note. When I worked in a fitness gym, I found a woman was just as likely to burst into tears over her last impossible to lose 10 lbs as a woman who had 100+ to lose. NO ONE has a monopoly on the emotional pain of being over the weight that they feel most comfortable at. Good luck all!! BJF
Couldn't agree more! Glad to be a new member of 3FC!
Hi featherweights....I don't think I quite belong here, as I still have about 30 lbs to lose, but I couln't really find a section for that.
I'm from Australia, I'm 19 and weigh about 165lbs at 170cm tall and very new to the site, don't really know how it works yet, haha!
Hi everyone,
I joined ages ago but have only just pushed myself to start posting. I'm a Brit studying in America, & I'm set on losing 10lb before I go home for Christmas. I'm 5'1 & currently 117lb, & I KNOW I can lose the weight - I did it last semester, then went home for the summer & piled it back on.
Hello everyone. I am trying to lose 19 pounds I've gained back since hitting my goal weight three years ago. I maintained for a year, but maintenance is hard and kind of boring because you don't get sense of accomplishment with it that you do by hitting weight loss milestones. So first I need to get the weight off, and then I need to figure out the maintenance thing so I don't have to keep doing this over and over.
Just found this section-very cool! I just started my lc/ls diet this past week with a goal to lose 30lbs. I've lost 4lbs this week, so I've got 26lbs left to lose So I'm a sort of a featherweight lol.
Hi all! New to using a forum. Perhaps just technology challenged in general! I am returning to this site after being gone for 2 years. I vow to actively post, respond, question and just basically FORCE myself to use this site and drink in the support and honor the suggestions until I, 1) completely become proficient at using computer/iPad/forums, 2) reach my weight loss goals and/or 3) become support for the many friends I hope to make on here!
Please feel free to chat me up as I try to navigate on here... I don't know where I'll end up!
Hello Friends,
I am trying to lose the lbs that I gained from grad school and well during some fun after. I'm at an all time high and cringe when I step on the scale... Up and Up it goes. I know that now, isn't the best time to usually start a diet but heck when is it really a great time? We.. err.. I just really need to stay motivated. I look forward to reading your posts!
