My goal is still to stay under 120 lbs. I seem to maintain here, already work out every day, and my calories are at 1500 and I don't want to go lower. (120 lbs on my higher scale in NY, my lower scale in PA reads 1lb lower)
Fantasy goal weight- under 110

I think I will join in on the accountability thread ;) I only weigh myself 1-2 times per week to avoid frustration.

Plan: Drink lots of water, green tea, Continue Dukan Stabilization phase.

July recap:
Start Weight (= high weight): 146.2
End Weight (= low weight): 139.6
Total loss: –6.6 pounds

August Start weight: 140.2
Goal Weight: 134.8 (–5.4 pounds)

8/1 -- 140.2
8/2 -- 140.4

haha wrong direction. I'm not worried though, obviously it's just a tiny bit and I started this month doing something new: just taking the first scale reading I see, none of this obsessive weighing throughout the morning to see how low I can get the number to go (it's sometimes nearly 2 pounds!). It's exhausting, making me crazy and doesn't serve any purpose other than giving me a better number to post here :dizzy: That being said, these "first numbers" are lower than any days I saw last month, so I definitely had a drop...

According to my "plan", I was supposedly going to move to maintenance around Sept 1/Labor Day so we'll see if I can at least get to 135ish by then. It is a seriously long shot, given how slowly things are moving.

Happy August, everyone! Congrats on all your hard work in July - amazing! I think we all deserve medals. But the losses are their own best reward. ;)

Special thanks to Anexia, for starting the thread! :broc:

Lowest weight for July, from the 27th: 104.8

8/1/15 - 106.1
Official Sunday weigh-in: 8/2 - 104.6

Goal for next week: 104.4

I figured out what would help me control my eating on vacation: wanting to stay healthy! If I eat badly, e. g., lots of carbs/sugar/dairy/artificial flavors/colors/preservatives, etc., I can get sinus troubles, and interference with sleep, both of which drive me crazy. Here's to a motivation that can keep me on the "straight and narrow" diet path. Yay! :goodscale

Too much salt? Water retention from sore muscles? Food weight? Hormones? All of the above? Who knows :?::?::?:

kristip - woosh away!

HW - I am fascinated by the variation in your weight. My drop today of 1.8 pounds was very unusual for me! Usually just a few ounces up or down no matter what I do (of course a few days in a row of overeating or severe restriction can make a big difference ... ummm MUCH easier in the UP direction)

I really admire everyone's dedication here! I get so bored and frustrated with this weight loss process. It helps a little to see other people's journeys.

So ... out of curiosity, I was trying to figure out how different weights are proportional to height. The most common number I see is 5 pounds per inch to get an approximation. So if I were 5'8" I would weigh proportionally ~149 pounds, 5'4" I would be ~129 pounds and if I were 5'2" I would weigh ~119 pounds. Frame size, body fat, etc aside of course; this is a rough comparison. I found this interesting!

Emma, it usually goes about the same, tbh. Starting with a weigh-in on Sunday - the low point - I quickly seque into eating whatever I want for the day, which adds up pretty quickly! I end up "gaining" about five or six pounds by next morning's weigh-in. Because it's mostly just food and liquid, it goes away over the course of the week. You don't see that, though, because I eat the bulk of my 1200 calories a day at night, and weigh first thing in the morning.

I start to get worried around Friday, because my numbers are still kinda high, usually, and so I eat teh 1200 at breakfast rather than dinner. Then I water fast on Saturday. That can make quite a difference, BUT...sometimes I have to work out like a madwoman still, to make weight. That's what happened this last Saturday, where I ended up doing my usual jogging/walking intervals for two hours! It was a bummer, especially first thing in the morning. I didn't end up getting to goal, actually, until about 11:30, and ended up having just four Reese's-like fat bombs before going to the movies and enjoying a big bucket of buttered popcorn and Coke.

I haven't felt like exercising this week, so it will be a nail-biter, for me, to see what happens. :corn:

I am also interested in how different weights are proportional to height. I use the BMI chart at http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educ...MI/bmicalc.htm. Because I am short, I have no idea how a certain weight corresponds to a taller height, and that website helps.

I just checked - For me to be BMI of 18.5 I would have to be 114.5 pounds :yikes: I haven't seen that weight in ~17 years. Zero chance of me getting there again in any healthy way.

My first goal (which is also this month's goal) would put me at BMI 21.8. My dream goal at this point would put me at 20.9. Ticker goal, which is becoming ludicrous, would put me at 20.1.

Seriously good food choices! I discovered the joy of squash this week. :D Yesterday and today had squash sauteed with tofu and feta cheese, mixed in with israeli couscous and lentils. Also added a steamed orange pepper today - so amazing!

I do suspect that I am bigger at the same weight than I was before... different topic entirely and there is nothing I can do about it now. I will address that when I start exercising/weightlifting for real, probably next month.

Well, wow. I had 1600 calories and lost weight. My carbs were at 45. I had an 8 ounce bison burger with 4 ounces brisket and just didn't eat the bun and had literally three or four French fries, all protein, low carb vegetables, cup of blueberries and an orange, the rest of the day and a tbs of raw nuts at like 10 at night. Okay, eat and lose weight. I
will see how this goes.

A lot of you do the low calorie stuff and I commend you. I seem to eat 1500 a day regardless of what I'm eating, otherwise I'm miserable. You guys have way more discipline than I could ever have!
