Interesting that you mention the morning fluid levels "settling" - I have been noticing that my weight goes down by almost 2 pounds throughout the morning before I eat. Weight is such a funny thing. I can also push my scale around to different locations and get it to read 0.4 to 0.6 pounds difference.

Except for my (several) overindulgence bumps up, I have basically been maintaining since early June. Just an observation.
Way to maintain [and now I see losing - congrats!]! I love maintaining, especially around such a holiday-y time as July/summer.
As far as the scales/weight things you mention at the beginning: I call that fluctuation in the morning "ghost pounds." I can lose quite a bit just by weighing in, waiting a while, then weighing in again.
Problem is that, for me, it's not consistent, i. e., doesn't happen every time. So, if I'm trying to hit an official weight in a hurry, because I'm on my way out the door to an eating occasion and want to make weight first, I can't count on the ghost pound phenomenon to save me, more's the pity. So I have to exercise, just to be safe, on those occasions.
It always freaks me out how scales can vary so much, even in a short amount of time. Great when it goes in one's favor, not so much when it doesn't!
