Plan on being more than strict this week.... on extra snacks, NO SODA (this is my kryptonite and how I "treat" myself sometimes, but not this week!).

I REALLY want to get below 140 this week. I thought it was possible when I was at 142, but now that I jumped to 144, who knows.

I've switched from two up days per week to one, so we'll see what effect that has on getting to my next goal of 106.6 (point four pounds below my last goal weight, which was 107). Official weigh-ins will take place on Sunday mornings, up day will commence on the day the goal for the week is reached! :broc:

Thanks! I'm not even sure when I lost five pounds... I came close in May... I have been doing cycles of 5-pound losses and I am on my third one. Seems like I am always starting over this way ... according to my schedule, I should have dropped that third 5 pounds by this Thursday. KIDDING of course (that's 3.2 pounds in 3 days) but a girl can dream... that schedule was based on 1.7 pounds/week. I'm already slowing down, from my already slow rate. Oh well. I have 10 more pounds to lose before even considering maintenance.

Happy June!

I'm not putting a goal other than to stay at 120 lbs on my heavier scale. I would be thrilled to maintain at aything under 120, like 118-119 :)

Super stressful week here. Trying not to use food to cope but, well, it's my favorite coping strategy. :D Going away this weekend, then coming back to a few more days of stress before, AHHHH, summer!

Well, my scale said 141.2 the first 2 times I stepped on it, and then 140.8 the third time (and a 4th time to check), so I'll go with that :). It is crazy what being super strict for a few days can do! I have been really good about planning out my food and going to the gym every day this week, and the results show. I am trying to be as good as possible because we do have some friends coming into town this weekend, so I know there will be a few "cheat" meals. I just don't want to ruin the hard work I've put in, so hopefully only a few bad bites here and there.

I was actually optimistic about today's weigh-in because I was pretty darn good yesterday... of course I am well aware that a weigh in is not a reflection of just the previous day's food, and so it goes. Up. Again. Which can trigger a binge for me, especially when combined with stress and fatigue. I am trying to stay strong today!

haha I do that too sometimes if I am looking for a certain number, sometimes even just a 0.2 pound loss. Congrats on your recent downward movement!

Hi Same7 - I am struggling with binge-triggers as well. It has been bad recently. Seems like I can be strict for about 4 weeks until I start dealing with huge compulsions to binge eat again. It's very frustrating. For me, usually if I make sure I am full on healthy foods first I have less desire to gorge on simple carbs... but that being said I had a disaster yesterday. I cut myself off early and didn't eat again (any of my healthy planned meals!) so calorically it was not bad, but ick such an unhealthy day overall. I feel for you. Stay strong! :goodvibes:

I saw 142.8 flash on my scale a couple of days ago but it is proving to be elusive to get below 143 pounds. I'm going to buckle down again today and see if I can get this scale moving.

142 pounds is symbolic to me (first max weight I saw when I started putting on weight eight years ago) so I am psychotically devoted to being below that number again .... I'm within striking distance.:p

You can do it! My scale went up, too, and it's a freak out. But I like what Emma said about getting in our nutrients, so we won't be so tempted to binge. Protein maybe can help stave off some hunger pangs, too.

"Psychotically devoted" - I love that phrase! That would perfectly describe how serious I am about not gaining any appreciable amount of weight ever again. There's no use in it. It's the opposite of what I want. There are myriad benefits to being skinny, and I love all of them. And the reverse is also true. So I'm with you, Emma, in your psychotic devotion! :high:

This is the longest I have been under 120 recently. Whoo hoo.

I'm changing my goal slightly. I used to be 25/35 and am now closer to 26/36 so I'm hoping to lose an inch regardless of the scale. That should be good enough.

Nice job ladies! It's nice to see everyone is getting closer to their goals.

This is the longest I have been under 120 recently. Whoo hoo.

I'm changing my goal slightly. I used to be 25/35 and am now closer to 26/36 so I'm hoping to lose an inch regardless of the scale. That should be good enough.
