Default Fruit only?

I was just wondering if anyone has done/heard of fruit detoxes. Where you eat nothing but fruit for a day. Supposudly it helps to detox the body and can help with weight loss?

I haven't, but KimWin mentioned doing fruit cleanses awhile back. You might want to PM about it?

My guess would be the weight loss comes from not eating that many calories/fat, not because you're eating fruit specifically. I'd imagine you can get the same effect from eating the same number of calories of oats, or vegetables, shrimp, etc. That said, fruit is pretty "cleansing" (I had about 3 cups of watermelon this afternoon... mmm) at least psychologically so I understand the appeal. Are you interested more in a cleanse specifically or in losing weight quickly for a day?

Not necessarily to lose weight quickly but to help offset my bad days. I could easily eat fruit all day. I LOVE fruit. But I feel like the calories, carbs and sugars would add up very fast!

A medium banana has about a hundred calories in it right there, and it's a lot of natural sugar. OTOH, a banana is one of those feel-good foods for me, high in nutrients I need and just yummy and has a kind of calming, cooling effect. Apples and grapes are maybe more the kind of stuff I would veer toward for a cleansing effect: slightly more acidic, lower in calories, but not as acidic as citrus fruits, which I love but I think would feel tough on my system to eat all day exclusively. For example, an orange without any other type of food in your stomach? Does that sensation sound pleasant? We're used to eating oranges or drinking orange juice accompanied by something else, something like fiber or protein that can help absorb some of the acidic effect.
