Default Anyone taking Zumba? Does it work?

My friend ordered the Zumba from an infomercial and we're going to begin as soon as it comes in. Just wondering if anyone else has the DVDs or are taking a class and if it's really as much fun as it looks!

I just started taking a class yesterday! Cardio wise it's great, and today there are muscles that are sore that I didn't even know could get sore! And I also am HORRIBLE at dancing and doing the moves well, and I still got a work out from it. Definitely try it and good luck!

Thanks, Sam. I did the workout for the first time last night as well and loved it! And like you, muscles sooo sore! Great workout. My clothes were soaked with sweat when we finished, that doesnt happen for me with 25 min on the eliptical! And afterward I was too hot and tired to even want to eat, so I settled for a bowl of cereal. Woke up this morning feeling slimmer already.

Oh man, I wish I loved it like you guys! I have a friend that sends me all systmes for free and I was sooooo excited about this one! I just couldn't burn enough calories for the amount of time... I do like some videos of the set more than others! YOu have motivated me to give it a go again! The cardio is fun, the toning did absolutely nothing for me.

We, (well I) haven't been through all the DVD's yet. I'm curious about all the DVD's. I'll let you know how the rest of them go as I get into them. We're taking on a different workout tonight, so we'll see!

KimWin: I don't sweat at all during the hour of Zumba so I really don't know how many calories I burn. Usually I'll run for 30 minutes before the class or do an hour of elliptical after just to get the calories in for the day. I use Zumba as a toning exercise...and maybe as a lesson on how to shake what my mamma gave me. Just give it a go again! Get some buddies too, it's always more fun with friends!
