  • Whispering so the scale Gods don't hear me and take their revenge......the scale said 129 lbs this morning. I looked up my old WW weight records to see when the last time I weighed in the 120's was. The answer....NEVER! I thought I had gotten down to 127, but nope my lowest weight was 130.5 in 2003. The 120's have not been seen since I was premenstrual. It seems like I am losing faster now than before, but maybe it is because i am less anxious for the weight to come off and not expecting big jumps.
  • Of course, I didn't weigh naked at WW (much to everyone's relief LOL), so I most likely did weigh 127-128, but never officially recorded.

Im noticing Im losing much faster now its really interesting and little scary. Last week alone I lost almost 4 lbs. I looked over my LoseIt weigh ins for the past 6 months and Ive never lost that much in 1 week! I did lower my calories to the 1200-1350 range and watch carb intake but still never knew it could make such a difference.

Congrats on the all time low weight! 129 has been my absolute lowest also it was in 2003, I was in college exercising like a maniac and I think I only stayed that low for like a day or two lol. Good luck with maintaining!

    Thanks!
Four pounds in a week! Wowsa! I lost 4 lbs when I watched carbs for a week, but I knew I couldn't deal with it long term. It was just a one-week planned experiment to see how I felt and how it affected my weight loss. I glady accepted the 4 lbs loss and then returned to just calorie counting with an emphasis on healthy food, but no exclusions.
I changed my LoseIt goal three or four weeks ago from lose 1.5 pounds/week to lose 1 lb/week, upping my calories from just under 1200 to just under 1400. Do you know if LoseIt keeps track of weight with dates somewhere? I change my weight on Monday's on LoseIt, but can't find a log anywhere of exact weights/dates.
  • I found the weight graph by date on LoseIt, SkinnyElle. It wasn't in my head; I am in fact losing faster. I thought maybe it just felt like it.
I have lost 7.6 lbs in the past four weeks, which is more than any other four-week period. Interesting. I have upped my calories by 200 daily, had 2 to 4 days off of calorie counting (but just eating normally, maintance range eating), and one not pretty binge evening. Certainly, my highest calorie month. I think it has less to do with that though, and more to do with my brain not being hyperfocused on the numbers and losing weight. For most of the month, I was trying to decide if I even *wanted* to lose any more. I swear being obsessed with the numbers, makes me hold onto pounds. Mind/body connection, I'm zen like that LOL
    5-22 to 6-22: -7.6 lbs
    4-22 to 5-22: -3.4 lbs
    3-22 to 4-22: -4.8 lbs
    2-22 to 3-22: -6 lbs
    1-22 to 2-22: -5.8 lbs
Begin date of 1-6 to 1-22: -5.8 lbs
  • That is so awesome! I can dig the mind body connection thing its so great to be in a good place with your body and weight loss. I think its a true sign that u have found a sustainable, healthy method and you will be able to keep up with it. Im there as well.

Im glad you found the weight graph. Sometimes its hard to see the exact weight just looking at the graph alone though. If you click " Need to fix a weight?" you can scroll to an exact date and see the number more easliy. I LOVE the LoseIt App!

I used to think no/ really low carbs (<20g) was the only way I could drop the lbs. But Im learning I can eat them moderately (60 to 100g) per day and still have pretty good losses as long as I work out to cancel out any water retention. Im happy I discovered this bc I love fruit! I can easily do without breads, pastas, and rice though although I do occasionally indulge.

Good for you! I'm still really skeptical on whether or not I am going to be able to keep up with this weight.

The LoseIt website allows you to export the weights straight to Excel, so that worked well for me.
  • The scale said 130.0 this morning, boo-hiss LOL BUT I went out to dinner with friends, had chips and salsa, fajitas, rice, and a margarita, and most importantly good times! Well worth the temporary blip on the scale, and I will be solidly into the 120s soon. Life happens!
  • 130 even this morning! Now THAT'S what I call a bounceback after a huge binge weekend.

    Monday morning: 138.5
    Friday morning: 130.0
  • 129.0 this morning. Still not feeling solidly in the 120's.

krampus and aimeebell, when will you feel like you're done with the 130's? I'm thinking for me it won't be until I'm 127 or so, because a salty meal or two on the weeeknd can shoot me up 2 lbs., and even though I know it's water, it's still on the scale, you know?
  • I seemed to have clawed my way back down to 131 when I weighed myself yesterday. I'm not over the hill of course, I have still got to get through the rest of the graduation celebrations without completely falling off the wagon. Fortunately, it's only one more week of having cake and alcohol waved under my nose.

I went to a party a few days ago and my friend kept insisting that I get a drink, so I poured half a glass of red wine and filled the rest with diet coke. Not amazing but certainly enough to get them off of my back.

I don't really retain water from salt or the TOM bloat and don't see a ton of variance on the scale, so I'll feel pretty confident that I am in the 120s pretty quickly.
  • Krampus, Aimeebell Congrats! You are both huge motivations for me. Krampus, good job on bouncing right back from your binge! I knew you would be fine!
  • Ok, I'm taking the plunge and joining you girls. My goal weight was 130 but now that I'm less than 4 lbs away, I know I'm not going to be satisfied, so I'm lowering my goal to 128. Barely out of the 130s, but still. lol
  • Off plan for the last 2 days. Am I sabotaging myself? Feels that way. I dreamed the scale went up 30 lbs. overnight. I looked down at my body, thinking I looked the same, then saw myself from behind in a mirror and my butt was grossly swollen.

Doing better so far today - had a light breakfast and just came back from walking .8 miles, jogging 4.3.
