As far as I know, I've never been as low as the weight I am now. And I definitely haven't gotten as far down as 115. I'm incredibly excited to see what I'll look like at that weight. If you don't mind me asking, what pant size were you at 115?

at 115 I was a size 5. At 110 I was between size 3-5. However I am very curvy..i have a lot of junk in trunk so I need a little extra room in my pants in the hip area. I wore a size 5 but I always needed a belt around my waist or I would have a gap in my jeans.

I know weight looks different on everyone (muscle vs. fat, frame size, etc.) so I'm curious as to what people have to say about this factor in ideal weight?

Agree completely. I'm 5'2.5 and am very happy when I'm around 125, even though most people my height would aim for about 110-115. Though I'm small framed, I'm very curvy and have an athletic build, so at 125 I'm in small and petite clothes. It's all in where the weight is and knowing what is right for your own body. Mine would be very unhappy if I even thought about dipping below 120.

Hey everyone! I don't know if you'd consider me a featherweight yet but as of this morning I was 149.8 lbs :) Anyways-- I'm 5'2 and I have never been in the 140's for as long as I can remember let alone 120's. But I have a large body frame and I would initially like to be 120-125 lbs. It gets lower and lower the closer I get to my goal weight and I continue to drop it. 140 was my unhealthy & original goal because I've never seen it before but now only being 9 lbs from that GW..It's time to bring it down!

habakuktwo 08-15-2011 10:26 AM

I'm 5'4 and in college was at 115 and thin I never really purposefully exercised but I would walk a lot because I didn't have a car. I think I want to get to 120 and see what my thighs look like (I have a filthy pear shape and hate it). I'm 130 now and my thighs and hips are still trouble some. Glad hear from us short to not as tall people.

mamamorgan 08-15-2011 10:50 AM

I am 5'2, I have a medium to large frame and in all honestly, I am shooting for 115 to 120. I have weighed 118 (smallest adult weight) and I looked and felt great and definitely feel like I could have been 5 lbs smaller. If I can get there now, no idea, but I definitely going to try to reach at least 120.

banananutmuffin 08-15-2011 11:04 AM

I'm 5' with a small frame. I looked great at 102, decent at 107, and started to get chunky looking around 112. But that was before I had any muscle.

I'm 116 lbs (give or take) right now and a size 4 (give or take). I am shooting for 104 plus same/more muscle than I have now, but that may be a bit too low. I'd probably be happy at 107.

How did you get a growth spurt? I'd kill for one of those.

If you measure your wrist you can find out what frame you are. My wrist is 5.5 exactly, so I am on the border of medium framed, but I'm aiming for 110-112. I'm also pear shaped and although I quite like the upper half of my body as it is, my stomach is relatively flat most of the time, I HATE my lower body and based my goal weight on my legs and especially my thighs. I'm using it as a loose indicator and will probably reassess when I get a little closer to my goal and decide whether I want to be lower or higher.

I am 5'2" and large framed (6in wrist and 2.75in elbow breadth) and my goal weight is 115...130 to 120 was pretty easy, these last 5 are taking forever!

jennybee 08-15-2011 03:57 PM

My GW is a little higher than most of you - I'm around 5"2 and I'm aiming for around 130-132lbs because that's what I feel is realistic for me. I've always been chubby, ever since I was a kid, and I just don't know if my body is built to be any smaller. I will have to find my measuring tape and measure my wrist to find out my frame size. Thanks for that tip! :)

TheManekiNeko 08-15-2011 07:04 PM

I'm aiming for between 120 and 110 lbs. I can't remember why I chose those numbers exactly. But I don't remember being under 9 stones (126 lbs) as an adult. Though I have a feeling that it's not realistic for me to maintain a weight as low as 110 lbs. Doesn't stop me from giving it a go though.

SunnyJee 08-16-2011 05:31 AM

I picked 110lbs a long time ago, because it seemed like a dream at the time, and heck, you always need a goal. I just weighed myself this morning, and I'm 112. Holy crap.

I've now changed my goal to 105lbs. And still kind of reeling in shock.

Magalo 08-17-2011 12:42 PM

Actually my "ideal" weight is supposed to be around 110-115 for my height of 5"3. I have a really small frame, small boobies and not really wide hips. My first goal was 100, I'll see when I'll be there. I currently have a plateau at 105 even though I was down to 102 lately. It's annoying!

FluffyDiva 08-17-2011 01:28 PM

I'm 5'0" and have a small frame, so 110-115 lbs is my ideal range in my own mind :)

constellations 08-17-2011 09:44 PM

I'm 5' with a large frame, and I'd like to get down to 130 lbs (my lowest adult weight). I weighed in the high 120s during high school, but when I dieted and got down to 120, my face looked kind of gaunt and unattractive. 130 is just right for me.

Now i'm slightly taller id say 5'3 right about 5'4 and am 135. Ideally, i wanna get to 125. But my sister in law i saw her over the weekend and she is 117 and wears 1's but has no muscle..but id like to look lean. I guess when i lose these last ten i can re evaluate if needed. Mainly, i want to be slim looking as well as what the scale says :)

I'm like you, but I'm just shy of 5'. I am about 130 now and wear 4's or tight 2's, and I'm usually standing around 123 or so in 2's.
When I was in college I got down to 112 by hardly eating and running/lifting for two hours a day. I was wearing 0's.

I think I'd be happy around 115. My lowest post-baby weight was 119, and I looked great.

tiffanylee 08-18-2011 12:20 PM

I'm 4'11".. I'm at 131 right now... My ideal weight is 115. That is what I weighed right after high school and was wearing size 2. Right now I wear size 8's. I have a large butt and thighs.

jennylauren19 08-19-2011 09:17 PM

I'm 5' 2" with a small frame. My goal is 110. I am hour glass to pear shaped. I have a big butt and heavy thighs with large saddlebags. I'm having a really tough time losing the weight in my lower body.

bananapancakes 08-21-2011 10:50 PM

I'm 5'2.5, curvy (DD boobs and I have hips) and small boned and I thought my ideal weight would be 125, well now I'm at 125 and I would now like to be at 115, I think I will be happy with another ten pounds gone.

Linilinda 08-21-2011 11:19 PM

I'm 4'9.5". My average weight in my late teens, early 20s was between 107-117. At that weight, I wasn't overly thin and still had plenty of curves. Post kids, my weight leveled off at the 135-140 mark. During a 6 month period between Oct 2009 and 2010, I experienced some health issues including very low vitamin D levels and self-medicated with food and very little physical activity and spiked up to 165lbs - yikes! After a year and a half of slow and steady weight loss, I am currently down to 125. I'm feeling pretty good, and just squeezing into a size 8. I know that after 2 kids and with a very curvy build ( i.e. big bust, butt, + hips) I can't aim to be super skinny, but I would love to get to a point where I feel good in a pair of jeans ( which I haven't worn in over 10 years ). My initial goal going forward is 114 ... followed by a revisit to my adult low of 107. I would love to see what I would look and feel like below 100, but I am also reasonable and realize that my body may not be built for that. I have also learned that muscle tone is key to avoid those jiggles, so fitness needs to be a goal as well as that dreaded number on the scale :)

0059500 08-22-2011 12:12 AM

I'm in between 5 feet/5'1" with a small frame and all throughout highschool I was 105 - 113 lbs and was 108 lbs when I left for college. I'm hoping to get back down to that weight but I've been stuck in the lower 120's for what feels like forever :/

ChickieChicks 10-09-2011 09:57 AM

I'm 5'2.5" with a borderline small-medium frame.

I was in the 110s and low 120s until getting married and having kiddos. I'm now 133, but I fit into smaller sizes than I did at this weight 7 years ago, b/c I am very toned and lean. 20% body fat.

My goal is 127, b/c I really felt great at that weight, but I would secretly love to be 120. It's just silly, really, b/c I feel great, look great and wear size 4-6. Pure vanity, I guess.....

ladyrayado 10-09-2011 03:06 PM

I'm 5'2 with a small frame. When I started this journey at 160lbs, my goal was 135. I've past that by 10 pounds, and I'm struggling with deciding on an ultimate goal. Most research I've done says my ideal weight is between 108 and 130 - such a huge range. My current goal is 115, another 10 pounds, and then I'll re-evaluate how I feel and look.

liliesinmycereal 10-10-2011 01:26 PM

I really want to be around 120... the suspense of knowing what I'd look like at that weight feels weird! I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

joeywants 10-10-2011 01:42 PM

I'm 5'3 1/2" and my lowest weight was 109...people told me I looked too thin so I ideally 113-115 is my ideal weight. I think reaching and maintaining 115 will be tougher than the first time I did it.
