I figured this would be the best board for me as I really only want to lose about 8-10 pounds. I'm not overweight, just my body fat percent is definitely higher than it's been in the past and given that my field is very "body image/look orientated" I want to be in the best shape I can!
I just finished college, and was a bit lazy about getting exercise 24/7 so I need to start that up again and continue healthy eating habits. The only frustration is being home and around family AND getting settled into a new apartment. Forgive me, but I've never had a support system and I know I have bordered on eating disorder behaviors in the past, so I have to get this out.
My family eats soooooo poorly. Instead of mostly fruits and vegetables, it's most meat, breads/carbs/starches, and junk food/desserts. Not only that, they don't seem to care about changing, or the fact that I have expressed severe upset over having so much food like that around because I can't have temptations around. I could go into it more but I won't, it just really upsets me because I see their habits and how they've affected their body and notice the same effects on my own even when I try to change --- not overweight people, but a body fat % that is too high.
Anyway, here's to a new lifestyle, more working out, and happy, healthier eating!! WHO'S WITH ME?!
