where is everyone??? Our challenge is coming to an end soon....

I haven't exactly fallen off the wagon, I just haven't really been counting calories or anything. I have been trying to eat just small amounts of food a few times a day. I am still hanging in there at 123. I hope maintenance is this easy!!! I am going to make the push starting tomorrow to try to get down to 120 by the end of the month. I messed up my leg on the 30DS and had to give it a rest for a few days, but plan to do it again tomorrow.

hi maenad! looking forward to hearing about your progress this week! go get that 120 girl :) careful with the leg, trying to push it now could put it out of commission for a while!

I weighed again yesterday morning, and was 160.8 again, despite eating a clean 1200 cals (lower than my usual 1500, which i thought would jump start the scale moving in a downward diection!) So, obviously, I was freaking mad. haha. When i got home from work I was pissed off at my body, the scale, the world, whatever, and decided quite consciously to have a mega cheat day! and promptly ate 6 oreos. then I ate a lean pocket (op), and another 2 oreos. then another 2. then my sister came in and we did our workout, after which i ate another 2 oreos. That's 12 if you're counting. After that, my boyfriend and I went out for groceries and I was SUGAR CRASHING at the store, and not in a very good mood, and decided that, upon getting home, I would finish off the Newcastles we had in the fridge(4). Which I did while having a portion each of Doritos and Salt and vinegar chips. And the sushi that handsome and I picked up while at the store. For a probable total of 2500 cals for the day, and an evening of feeling like crap, followed by a morning of feeling not very good and looking quite puffy in the jowls. Good times.

Yes, it was intentional, and I enjoyed it while it was happening (in a sick, take that body! kind of a way), but i really much prefer to eat right because i felt like CRAP physically, I was angry emotionally, and all i really wanted was a green bean.

BAH! :stress:

SO, :hug: to me for facing my fear of over eating a bunch of junk leading to a slippery slope kind of thing--or whatever. I'm back, I'm not going to weigh but once a week (to record), and I'm buying a body tape-measure-er thingy this evening, based on the sage wisdom of 3FC and my Dad.

I've been eating clean... and since the challenge started I think I lost 2 lbs :rolleyes:

Hi!

I'm here! I lost a couple more pounds! I have been eating less, and doing more! Plus, almost no drinking. I went out partying on Friday and Saturday and was super! I had one beer yesterday, but my calories were well in check. I need to work out more, though.

On a plus note, I had a date and felt great! Always nice be be able to fit comfortably in one's pants!

Wow! Just looked back and realized I made my V-day goal! Off to spend the weekend with a friend and hang in the hotsprings! Yes to rewards!

Sooo, new mini-goal! I think I'm getting close. Maybe to lose 5 pounds by March 1st?

shasha and ilene, kinda with you on f the scale. I TOTALLy blew it yesterday. i'd only been at work a few hours when i got a call from the school nurse - my son was coughing so badly they couldn't keep him in class. meanwhile i'd already been sniffling and sneezing like crazy. so i was trying to work from home and keep him calm - running his nebulizer, trying to get him to eat. by 3pm i got another MONSTER headache. this time the aleve did nothing, so i had to take my prescription meds, which make me totally zonked. and i ate a granola bar, half a pb sandwich, half a frozen pizza, and some ginger ale(gross to write all that). i left my nice grilled chicken and spinach salad in the office fridge.

i slept over 9 hours and feel better today - no school b/c we are on a blizzard watch though. so i'm home again and have to try to keep it together. so far so good - just a cheese stick. i have veggie sausage and spinach and egg cups for b'fast, but have to come up with a lowcarb lunch, becaue i must be retaining SO much water by now. wo't even get on the scale.

sorry to vent, just mad at myself for yesterday and focusing on trying to get thru today. hope everyone has a better day today.

Mkendrick, congratulations!

I haven't been around for a while. I messed up in January, but I've started to count cals and exercise again, because I am really motivated these days. I didn't lose anything, however. But I know I'll be strong for Lent.

mkendrick, incredible job! Congratulations!

I'm going to call my final weight for the challenge 143, so down 5.2.

I'm up about a lb. the last 2 days, but it's more digestive issues than anything.

I've really lost motivation this week and feel like I could stay at this weight forever no matter what I do. So I am starting fat smash tomorrow. I've gotten sloppy because of my lack of results and need something very restrictive to get under this plateau. Plus I figure all the fruit and veggies in the first phase will help me.

Tonight DH and I are going out for our V-Day dinner. We only go fancy twice a year or so, so I'll enjoy myself. I always eat a healthy dinner - usually grilled fish, but I will have a cocktail, bread, and dessert. I'll post my starting weight(which will probably be up a few because of dinner) and let you all know how the 9 day detox works for me. The book also recommends upping your cardio when you stall, so I'll be doing an hour on the elliptical rather than 40 minutes, and cardio at home when I can't get to the gym.

I got so close... 159.6 today. That's a 7.4 pound loss, for the challenge. I'll take it! I have learned that I need to up my cardio! I have barely done any throughout this challenge (because I'm lazy), and my weight loss has slowed considerably from the first few weeks. YAY for continuing to support each other through the next phase! We can do it!!

Looks like this thread helped aot of you meet your Valentines day goal! I am so happy for you all! I'm sorry some of you are feeling a little down and out, but you'll get over the hump!

I didn't reach my goal, but i got pretty close.

CW: 122 (!!!!)
Lost: 7.8 lbs.

I want to get to 120 by March 1st.

I have really been looking at the last 6 weeks of this challenge to set some really realistic goals for myself. I think i can meet my goal of 110 by June 19th. Thinking of starting another thread for this, would any one be interested??

Well, I didn't meet my goal - I was off by 2 lbs. At least I'm down 4lbs from the beginning of the year, and I know that this challenge helped me do that. :)

I lost 3.4 lbs. this month! I forgot I started at 145 in January. I'm now down to 141.6! I'm glad I went back to check my original weight when I started posting on this thread. I went up and down so much in January, that I thought I did't lose anything. I didn't lose 10 lbs, but I lost something. I'm so happy. Now to keep it going....
