The last 10 (or so)
Is anyone else here so close to goal, and yet seemingly so far away- simply put, struggling with the last 10 lbs?
My last 12 seem to be snickering at me, saying "tee hee hee, you'll have to live with me forever!"
I've recently started weight training in the hopes of revving up the fat loss and FINALLY reaching goal. Anyway, I think it'd be great to hear others' experience with the perils of the last 10.
If there's already an active topic or group like this, I'd be be ecstatic to find it(please post the link), because the search function is being difficult with me.

Oh yes! The last 14! I was very unmotivated but forced myself to get back on track anyway, and now I know I'm going to make it to my goal, even if it does take a while. We have the power!!!

that's me. I actually originally set goal to 130, but then I got there, and decided I needed to lose another 10. Can't tell you how far away that next 10 lbs feels, lol. So I can relate!

Slow and steady wins the race. I try hard to not set a firm timeline for my weightloss. And although I seem to have reached my goal on the scale, I'm not sure if it is the final goal. I'm letting my body decide. I'm just doing the same things that worked for me during this journey. I think the fastest I'm able to lose now is around .5 lbs a week or 2 lbs a month. But I will say that the last 12 lbs or so have made the most changes in my appearance. I need to update my avatar, because that was about 15 lbs ago. DH lost our camera on vaca... I just need to buy a new one.

Oh yeah ! I thought I would never lose that last 10. I almost settled for a higher goal, but hung in there and eventually found success.

Mine has been the last 5. I think my body just wants to be 130 - 127. Guess it is stubborn just like me.

That makes me optimistic... I know everyone's different BUT.... if I relate my weight to yours via those height and weight charts, I am the equivalent of 12 pounds heavier than you... I have 14 left to lose, so now I'm kind of excited about these theoretical big changes in my appearance... something to look forward to! Well, either way I'll be fine, because I think I look good now, too! Congrats on making it to your goal and good luck in your future endeavors! You've got the power!

Yes, am finding the last 5 kilos (about 10 pounds) very hard to shift. I guess these are the vanity pounds. I don't need to lose them to be fit and healthy, but to look good in a bathing suit, which would be amazing, I do need to lose them.
Am trying to recommit myself at the moment and started keeping a food diary again. And will be trying to go on here more to get some inspiration and support.

Well I am almost there, I am back from a 5 month hiatus. I was 137 this morning but have a feeling I am still 138 because of a light dinner. So 8 lbs. to go for me, seems kinda scary, almost like it won't happen no matter how hard I try. Don't really know how to explain that. It's so close yet SO far. At 130 I think I am going for 125, just 130 seems more attainable right now. Good luck everyone.

size8: Thanks. I'm so happy to be so close to my goal weight!
Doesn't it feel great, you guys, to be able to know that yeah, you still have some weight left to lose, but that you're so close that you look fabulous regardless? I have sooo much more confidence now; I love it!!!

Count me in - I think this is the last 10 ... but I can't tell any more because I started exercising, and now my shape is moving all over the place as new muscle pushes the fat around! Every pound is certainly an adventure, and I totally agree with Megwini - it's so much fun to feel great!
