If you look at my sig, you'll see I am only losing between 2 and 4 lbs a month too. I just think that if I lose 3 lbs a month, at least it's 3 lb I won't see again.

And, don't forget 3 lb means much more at this stage as it's a far greater percentage of your entire body weight than a bigger person.

I can see the difference every single pound makes at this stage now, whereas when I was 200+, I could only really see a difference when I lost 7 lb.

I want to be at 135 by my birthday, but if it takes till Christmas then so be it. So long as it comes off and doesn't go back on again, that is what matters.

I'm also going to get some body fat scales too so I can watch my body fat % go down. Once I hit my goal I think I will still need something to keep track of, so I have started tracking my exercise. I'm not doing a huge amount at the moment, but I'm aiming for 210 minutes a week to start, which averages at 30mins per day. I'm going to see how that fits in with my other commitments, and then see if I can't start to increase the amount of exercise I do.

Entering figures on spreadsheets and seeing visible improvements is what motivates me.

Getting closer. After my last post when I was excited to get down to 118 I went back up to 120 somehow and have been working my way back down every since.

Robsia- I have a scale at home which does fat% and I love it. I just currently saw a tanita scale that can do muscle %, bone density, BMR, and a bunch of other really cool things. I was shocked. I wish I had one of those so I could try and monitor my muscle %, because if I lost one pound but it's mostly muscle that nothing to be happy about.

A friend of mine brought some body fat scales round the other day and I was 27% which is higher than I'd like (she was 37% though - ).

You can get those scales which measure bone density etc here too - but they aren't cheap.

This plateau is bugging me. But I am focusing on other things right now (a board meeting at work, my vacation--next week!) so it will have to wait until I get back from vacation. Oh, 130, why are so elusive?!?

mango- 130 was so tough for me to get to and get past! I found that after I got to 129 it seems a lot easier!

Good luck!

Oooh, and you're my height too! I think this is proving extra frustrating because I was losing so well for a while that I sailed past 140 and didn't even need to think about it for long. Stupid milestones and their pseudo-importance...

Thanks for the encouragement!

Default argh.

So the first 15lbs lost were a breeze, now I just keep hovering around 135. Up a pound, down a pound. Almost 6 weeks now.

I guess I need to add more exercise. Actually, I need to be honest and add exercise, period. Saying 'more' makes it sound like I'm doing some now, and I'm not on that treadmill nearly enough to count!
