allison and still trying: woo hoo for 2 lbs!! It seems like a small amount, but it's going the right direction, and 2 lbs is about as much as you should really lose in a week anyway.

Exercising makes me feel better, too. Keep it up - you'll feel better and drop the lbs!
I've been kinda blue yesterday and today, I'm not sure why. Maybe all the rain. I'm not homesick but I still don't feel quite settled here... i think anticipation of the long weekend and no one to spend it with is bothering me. Luckily I have work to do (both for classes and my job). And hopefully soon some of my acquaintances will develop into friendships and I'll feel less awkward on the weekends.
I joined the small gym at the University Medical Center. It's very cheap for me and it has all the essentials: cardio and weights machines, free weights, balls, etc. It's about a mile and a half from my house and I can take the bus or bike. I'm still working on those biking skills. I haven't ridden in a few days because of the rain, actually... gotta get my bum back on the bike!
