Hey gals,
I hesitate to write this post b/c I feel bloated and went pretty much off plan this past weekend. (so I'm feeling hypocritical too

)
But, my way of eating since late march/April , and pretty much, from here on in throught my life (mostly):
I try to avoid wheat products, whole grain and otherwise, and refined products/ sugar. Of course, I will eat some pasta (50%/50%whole grain/white) if that's what I'm giving my kids and I am STARVING for my own dinner. Or one or two/ some of my kids cracker/cookie snacks.
I count calories and shoot for 1200 but mostly find myself 1300-1400ish average.
I try to rack up as much mileage as possible, by plain old walking and running (I'm very slow) both.
My diet consisits of nuts (mostly cashews, macadamia, and almond), veggies, lean and not so lean protein (will eat beef and pork too) and cheese (lowfat and reg). I also do eat corn, carrots and all fruit but try to stay with just one portion or the lower glycemic type fruits.
I will eat dark chocolate/ ice cream/ frozen fruit bars on occasion but really keep track of calories. And I will eat those trader joe's low carb whole grain burritos too.
So, there it is. When I started this journey I was frustrated by my up and down weights even tho I was staying on track calorie wise. Then I adjusted my way of eating to a lower carb/ healthier carb type of thing.
Thanks for noticing

Now, to stay true to myself
See you gals around town
