Smile New adventure for me!

I've been maintaining the same weight for a couple of months now (range between 130-133) so I feel that I no longer have much in common with the rest of you who are still dieting and losing.

So I'm saying a kind of good bye and moving on to the maintenance side of things. I have enjoyed meeting all of you and am really grateful for all the advice and support I've received here in featherweights. I'll still "visit" now and again just to see how you all are doing.

Keep up the good work folks!

Dagmar

Dogmar I'm so happy that you have reached your goal and I wish you the greatest of luck. It'll be great to see you when you do pop in

I've had an awful day. But right this minute I'm planning all of my meals for the next few days and I will stick to it, no more excuses this week. I lost a lb last week so I'm going for another lb this week.

Good luck everybody else

Hi all,
It's been a tough week so far... we're being audited at work, which means lots of stress and lots of meeting rooms full of food. No sooner do they take the donuts and pastries out than the sandwiches arrive...then the cookies and afternoon snacks. I've stayed away from it so far, but I've been pretty bad when I get home. I've lost my will to use Fitday for some reason. Haven't entered anything into it in over a week. Odd, since I was religious about it before.

Dagmar Best of luck on your new journey. I hope to see you on the other side with the maintainers!

Dagmar, congrats on being in maintenence! hopefully we'll all be joining you there before too long.

I gained a pound and a half and am therefore in quite a pissy mood... I thought I paid my homage to the alfredo gods, but they were apparently not satisfied. I had fettucine alfredo this weekend, but was good other than that and worked out extra hard on monday and thought i had it covered. Bummer =(

Oh Iris... I feel for you.

My scale was vicious to me yesterday (my official weigh in day). On Sunday, it told me I was down one, but yesterday it told me I'm up six. I must have swallowed a brick at some point that I don't recall.

I took a quick look at nutritional info for fettucini alfredo, looks like to gain 1.5 lbs, you must have had 17.5 servings. Let's both say it's water and keep moving forward. I refuse to move my tracker until I get a second opinion (gym scale).

I'm doing fine this week so far (went out for ice cream for the first time in a while on Sunday and am trying to work it off plus some). But that's just it; I'm doing "fine" - not "great," which is where I'd rather be! I don't know, I just feel somewhat bored lately I guess....not necessarily just with my diet/exercise, but my daily routine in general. So maybe I will start calling up people and making plans before the summer is over!! I can't believe it's almost August already

I have heard so many good things about Fage yogurt at 3FC that I decided to try some this week. Had it for breakfast with granola and fresh mango mixed in - yum! I probably won't be buying it regularly though; while the extra protein is great, it's not enough to justify spending MORE money when we already pay a lot for fresh fruits and veggies. I think my diet will do just fine without it for now.

My mom and I walked yesterday and today for an hour and went to the gym today, and I've stayed OP pretty much. Tomorrow though we are having dinner at the neighbor's house, and I don't know what that will be so I'll have to be careful! Hopefully they won't serve anything too high-cal I want to be under 110 by my birthday, and there's no room to spare at this point!

Iris - I would just give your body a couple more days to adjust...this is exactly why I don't weigh myself every day! The scale just fluctuates too much for me to take it seriously. Keep drinking water and exercising and you will be fine, I promise!!

Kimberly, I've heard about Fage yogurt too, but I haven't found anywhere in my area that carries it.... I'm moving in a little over a week so I'll have to check it out when i get settled into my new locale! Also, awesome that you work out with your mom. I've been doing that (convinced her to join my gym) but now I'm leaving the state to go back to school for a master's, so I'll need to find a new workout buddy! Having someone to work out with makes me so much more likely to actually go to the gym.

Thanks for the encouragement on the alfredo... I know I can't have gained a whole pound and a half from it but I'm still regretting it. Surely I didn't have 17.5 servings but what's a bowl at the Olive garden? Two servings? maybe even 3 or 4? I'm just not going to think about it.

Silverstar and skinnybeach, keep moving forward with me - i still hit the gym and aside from going overboard on my hummus and cracker snack was all right today. We'll be back on track with the weight in no time! =)

My goal is to get to at least 109.5 (anything under 110) by Sunday.....wish me luck!

Iris and silver, those extra lbs will probably disappear before you know it. Just stay optimistic and keep going forward!

Kimberly - totally relate. It's my 18th in a few weeks and nearly everybody wants to take me out for meals and I'm dreading it. I dont want to have more than one meal and I dread o imagine how many calories its going to all add up to

Anywho, I've had a horribly emotional beginning to the week but I've managed to stay OP and lose 2lbs so I really can't complain. I'm just trotting along I guess. I've also started doing pilates on a morning and some other workouts so hopefully things can only get better.

OH EDIT! - Well done Kimberly

Hello everyone - I have been around for a couple of years (or more) on and off for different reasons. In the past two years I have lost 81 pounds. Yet I still have 10 pounds to go - haven't done much at all the past 6 months accept go up and down 2 or 3 pounds. I really want to get rid of these last 10 but find I need the support. Also hubby has started (just today!) to lose about 80 pounds for health reasons so I am thinking this might be a good time to recommit for yourself. I think my difficulties range from no exercise (going to the library today to find an exercise video for both of us) and just a loss of interest with watching my food intake. I did ww on my own (using this site btw!) I would love to join this daily group as I need that kind of support. I am a mom of 3 (15, 12, 10) trying to get a teaching job (after leaving my position after 20 years last year - subbed this past year and hated it!) My youngest is autistic so that adds some stress to my life (though he is a joy often!!!) Yesterday was a great day for me - ate like the old days and felt great for it too! So that was great encouragement for me...going to get my dh set up today (he did this before and lost 12 pounds but then gave up) he absolutely has to get moving - his health depends on it! So, does anyone know how many points a male, 240 pounds would get for points (moderately active, 5'10'')? Hopefully role modeling for him will be a great big plus for me. How is everyone else and what are your life stories (Sorry if I am being too bold!!! I find when I jump in - it's a great idea to jump in with both feet! LOL)? How does your group "work"? Thanks for any help!!! Kim

I'm a newbie... so hello (again) to everyone!

I'm doing well so far this week. Lost over a pound since the weekend! This is extra exciting since I was stuck in the 150-152 range for almost two weeks, and I've finally broken out of it. I'm very motivated right now too (all thanks to you guys really!), so I've also managed to stay off the vanilla lattes and unnecessary snacks lately.

I'm getting better about listening to my body - feeding it when it's hungry, but not too much. I skipped my workout yesterday because I was feeling very tired and lacking energy , but I promised myself I would make up for it by working out every day for the rest of the work week. So after work it's back to the gym I go!

I might actually make it to my mini-goal before I go back to school!
