  • Like many have mentioned, for me it is any kind of sweet carb (cookies, doughnuts, etc.) and also bread.
  • Everything, pretty much. Except veggies, natch.
  • Cannot, under any circumstance, have the following in the house:
    - Sweet cereals
    - those bbq seasoned mini rice cake things
    - Chocolate anything (except jello no-fat pudding. they don't set off the binge button)
  • Brownies, blondies, doughnuts, cookies, milk chocolate (esp. Cadbury Milk Chocolate, omg...), rice... umm... those are the main things, but I've also been known to binge on Doritos (esp. Ranch flavor).

OH YES! And ANY kind of cereal at all, esp.: Honey Bunches of Oats, Life Cereal & Cocoa Puffs. The likelihood of a binge on cereal increases for me if the milk I'm using is Vanilla Soy Milk.
  • Cereal...definitely cereal...I keep it out of the house now. Even if I get cereal that is basically flavorless, I'll end up covering it in powdered sugar or maple syrup.
  • I cannot have granulated sugar in the house. I only ever buy granulated sweetener to go on my breakfast cereal. If I have sugar in the house I will eat it straight from the bowl until it's all gone.

I occasionally buy sugar if I'm making a cake - but I only buy a small packet.
  • My own baking - one nibble and I'm gone! When I bake, I wear surgical gloves and don't even lick my fingers.

Pretzels, chips, crackers and even Melba toast should never cross my doorstep.
  • Pizza and doughnuts...Pizza is just too good and I keep eating it even after I'm full. And doughnuts and I are NOT friends! I love them and the only way to handle that is just to stay as far away from Krispy Kreme as possible!
  • Anything deep fried, then dipped in ranch dressing. French Fries. Onion Rings. Breaded Mushrooms. Poppers (The cream cheese kind). Seriously, that is what I dream about at nights. I can resist sweets. Ice cream makes me sick and I HATE donuts, I always have. But I could probably eat two orders of large fries without a problem.
  • i've never been a big bread person... my weakness is beef. especially in cheeseburger form. i could eat four cheeseburgers in a row.
  • friendlykat4u - this my big binge trigger too ( cheese burgers - hot dogs on my grill ) or at bbqs .... and my other really wierd one is american chop suey & garlic bread I used to eat the whole bowl of leftover suey by the next morning .. Id eat it for dinner then crave it and eat again at night b4 bed ( even get up in the night and eat it !!! then eat it for breakfast then again for lunch .. my hubby would come home and ask where the leftovers went LOL why why why does american chop suey have to be so gooooooood ???

Trailgroomer - My biggest weakness , weekend evenings especially if I take a few shots then get the muchines after ! I guess its because I have been put into the mindset that weekends are fun and free and time for special treats or something??? its wierd ! like I can just do WHATEVER I want untill monday comes back they are my FREE days wooohooo LOL...... ( unfortunately this is not t he case and I realize it ) its been a bad habbit since my teens .. my mom always made weekends are fun/free days together ( eating, shopping, etc... )

yup this was a big one for me too .. I'd even eat the fried mushrooms w/ ranch dressing and I HATE mushrooms .... french fries ...poppers.... crab ragoons!

fortunately I think I've cured myself of this .. just in the short time that I've been eating healthier I think my body has started to adjust and is rejecting anything fried/greasy because If I try to eat them I start to get queesy after a few bites and my stomach starts to make funny noises

same thing with soda .. I instantly bloat right up like a blow fish and my tummy starts to gurgle .....

its funny to think 2 weeks ago I could eat unlimited amounts of these things!
  • For me, any salty carby food.

Crackers, potato chips, salty french fries, fried chicken with thick batter, chicken fried steak with thick batter and salty/peppery white gravy, biscuits and peppery, sausagy, salty white gravy, etc.

So while I'm still eating salt (mixed nuts, sunflower or pumpkin seeds, etc.), I'm avoiding the high carb stuff. On the occasions I've eaten fried chicken I've removed the batter and skin.

Sweets? Not really other than I used to drink far too much soda. Now 95% of my liquid intake is water, the other 5% being coffee or tea. Oh, and I don't care for chocolate.
  • I love cheese. It is my biggest weakness; I will eat pretty much any kind of cheese if given the chance.

However, I've learned to cut back and enjoy it once in awhile as a topping or a light snack. It's so much better that way.
  • I don't really have trigger foods. I binge when I am tired/sleep deprived. If I am tired or getting sick, I'll binge on anything. If I am really well rested, I won't overeat at all.
Knowing this, you'd think I'd make more of an effort to get lots of sleep!
