Unhappy Back from Vegas

Back home after about 6 days in Vegas and Southern Cal.Didn't bring any money back, but did bring back 1.8 pounds of fat.Due to a misunderstanding no one met me at the airport and I had to take a cab for $35.00. This upset me so much that I went to the store and bought ( and ate ) two pints of Ben and Jerry's. That'll show em !!!

Well, it may not be 1.8 pounds of fat...it's a bit early to tell! That sucks that no one picked you up at the airport!

As far as eating 2 pints of ice cream are concerned, I am unclear as to what and who exactly does that "show" ?

Don't be hard on yourself. You slipped back into an old behavior, but you clearly have so much success under your belt that this is but a brief blip in the grand scheme of things!

I was acting like a spoiled child, totally irrational as "look what you made me do", referring to the family members who failed to meet me.

Welcome back! I always gain a little (or sometimes a lot) when I go on vacation. It's so hard not to, isn't it??

I hope you had fun!

Bummer about the weight gain...I can relate. I still haven't gotten back to my trip weight and it's been a couple of weeks. *sigh* It's hard when you're used a routine, even a few short days can totally wreak havoc.

Bummer about the cab too!

Wink The sweet life

I believe ice cream and chocolate were created for the good of humankind - now we just have to learn to eat a small amount .

Either that or hike up Everest the next day to burn off all the calories

I forget who said this, but she viewed daily maintenance as "a stick of celery and a forty mile walk". Mt Everest is for the 2 liter ice cream sulk.
