Cool New Here...
Hi! I've been lurking for about a week or so and I have decided that the Featherweights is where I fit the best I think .
My name is Mandie, I'm 24 a mama of 2 beautiful little girls! My youngest is almost 6 months and I really need to lose the weight that I gained while trying to conceive and pregnancy. I had a HUGE cyst removed off of my left ovary in Dec and gained about 15 pounds afterwards. I have battled with my weight my whole life I've been everywhere from 200lbs to 115lbs. I'm trying to find and stay at a healthy weight for me which is about 145-150lbs. So I have about 25 more lbs to lose. Anyways - looking forward to getting to know you all better.

Welcome to the group. You will find this place really supportive. I am the same age as you and you have two children. Your youngest? I am assuming is absolutely beautiful. It must be wonderful to be a mother. My sister had a baby a year ago and he is the love of my life. She also had a cyst removed when she had her baby. The found that it was the size of a grapefruit and had to remove her ovary. It was quite devastating for her as I am sure it was difficult for you.

I hope this site helps you to reach your goals. I have found it to be wonderful. I also found that understanding my reasons for my ups and downs in my weight has really helped to to change things for the better. I ate for reasons other than hunger which was an issue and I didnt value my body for the gift that it is.

Thanks! Yes that is my youngest in the pic! My cyst was about the size of a large cantaloup and weighed almost 7 lbs. I know that I need to find happiness in the size that I am. My husband is happy w/ me where I am but it is so hard to look at the wedding pictures on the wall where I was 40lbs thinner and not feel cruddy you know?
