Default Going back to Phase I

I am so sad, I MUST go back to phase I.. After I was doing so well, my husband took me to our favorite restaurant for our anniversary and I totally blew my whole diet down the drain.. I feel horrible, then the next day was a party, I took food with me, BUT please tell me WHY DO PEOPLE LEAVE CHIPS ON THE TABLE??? lol.. i know it is my fault.. I cant even mention the other times I have cheated in the last couple of days... oh gosh I feel horrible.. I am gonna work out extra hard tomorrow and burn that butter off.. But I will be heading back to Phase I for nine more days.. HOPEFULLY I will lose another 10 pounds , but I guess I have to wait and see..

Don't look at detox as punishment or a "sentence." Maybe you don't need another whole 9 days of it. Did you gain weight back? How much? Try doing detox one day, Phase II the next & switch back & forth. If you really enjoyed detox then by all means go for it. I've read that detox keeps some people on track better.

Personally, I can't imagine having to do 9 days of detox in a row ever again. A day here or there is no big deal, though. It's funny when I read about people who love detox and don't ever want to move on. I couldn't handle that myself.

Thanks Judy..

I did enjoy Phase I just a little, BUT i was SOOOOOO excited to go to phase II.. I didnt really gain much, ( like a pound) But I really want to detox from all the bad stuff I did eat.. I feel like I stunted my weight loss by cheating so much.. So for right now its back to phase I.. I'm gonna see how long I can do, maybe only a couple of days but if I can make the whole 9 days i will be very happy as well..

I hear you! We had our teacher Thanksgiving lunch yesterday...also the same day as my first day on phase 2. I feel horrible this morning!!! I am afraid to get on the scale. No meat for me today! I didn't eat that much meat yesterday, but I did have some yummy side dishes which I probably should not have had.

I am back on detox also. It was my birthday and Dunkin Donuts have those pumpkin muffins we love. So before Thanksgiving I am back on it. I am going to make one change though. Reading Project you and wanting to incorporate some things I will be adding just a few chopple Walnuts to my oatmeal or afternoon salad and some ground flax in the day. If I do not lose as much weight thats ok. Good luck everyone.

I believe I read a response from Dr. Ian that flax was acceptable - I'm assuming it was a Phase I question but I'm not 100% sure. Of course, we know the pumpkin muffins aren't - LOL! But I just did a search last night for lowfat & diabetic pumpkin recipes & I found so many - including a pumpkin muffin recipe.

Some of the recipes call for flour which of course is still not Phase II acceptable (I don't think we should really bake anything with flour until Phase IV). However, I'm going to try some of these recipes using oat bran for the flour.

Pumpkin is one of my favorite things & it is healthy. I am running the risk of being pumpkined out, though, since I've been having a slice of Phase II acceptable pumpkin pie since pretty much starting this phase.
